Like the pic of JIO--as if he's thinking: "I know I got this bass came out of one of these cases...."
I am 'boxed in' by cases!

Nice! How's your playing schedule in the next couple of months?
I have an Air Canada credit to use up.
Cool, @JIO please send/post your dates when you have a moment.Saturday 4/13 RSR in San Jose, opening, short set. Just a fun little gig for us to hopefully get some notice in the South Bay.
Saturday 4/27 two gigs, one day, both BL and RSR, as described a few posts back.
Sunday 5/26, Bad Lemon at Winters (no details yet)
Nothing in June yet.
Saturday 7/27, Bad Lemon at Benders, SF.
Sunday July 28th, 3-5pm, Bad Lemon again at “Treasure Fest”
…and way out in October, RSR at Old Princeton Landing, 10/19 with State Line Empire.
…the details on some of these are unclear ATM, but either way, nice to have gigs on the calendar. Really hoping RSR gets some good summer gigs.
Yep, very unique place on earth. "Internet friends" sounds weird, if not creepy, but it really takes on a different meaning here. Where else could you possibly be comfortable having anyone from the club visit and gladly have them stay at your house but here?I just want to thank @Miles_ONeal for seeing my post about Pyramid Golds and how I liked them. Well he had a "like new" set of Pyramids he took off his Greco and contacted me about sending them to me and he even covered the postage!
He loves his EBCF's and wanted to see these get used by another Bassist and I love them.
I had just put new tuners on my "Black and White Tuxedo" Epi 60's T-Bird so the timing was perfect.
I appreciate all of the fun and interesting stuff we discuss here too including T-Birds!
Great group of Bassists and also just Darn good people here!

If you were really loved you would get a gift box before you leave so you could be well hydrated and worry free during the flight....just in case parts fall off.You really do know how to treat a guy.

Those are great strings. Thunderbirds can sound great with flats, but never tried those on a Thunderbird. Is it possible I need another Thunderbird?......I've got some friends lined up later this week and will give my views. @WillyW turned me on to PG strings when I bought his NR T-Bird and I like the pairing with the T-Bird pickups.
BTW...I have mostly used D'Addario Round wounds forever!
A million people are descending on Austin for it. And it’s now predicted to be overcast. We’ve got a total Eclipse of the Sun tomorrow afternoon so people are calling off work and Eclipse watch parties
are everywhere!
In an age of epidemics, having your own mic is wise. All the venues we play have PA's. We're playing at a place next Sat night where we have to bring our own stands/mics & mic-cables. Usually bring our own mics anyway. Yesterday they had all wireless mics so only our amps/instruments. Our Phil provided his drums for the day- a nice "Ringo Star" Ludwig set.

I have to look up more when playing -
What a great pic!I have to look up more when playing - screenshot from the vid. It's amusing reading the side-bar comments as it was going on. Lots of silliness - one person asked, "why are the two musicians trying to look like the Blues Brothers?" Last I checked the Blues Brothers wore neck-ties and hats. Must have been the sunglasses which spies also wear... Paul had trouble tying his bow-tie (Phil & I use clip-ons) so he left it undone. Gave him a suave, Bond after-hours look!

Yeah. I’m working on that too, but it adds to that distraction that we were talking about. Another thing to break concentration…
What a great pic!
