The age group of our normal audience(close to my age), that's not too likely to happen, but one never knows. There was one time(unfortunately on videotape)when we were playing "Theme From 'Black Orpheus'*"[jazz set], I got completely lost. Normally I have no problem with that tune but I just 'went away'. I'd guess no one in the audience noticed, but I suddenly became aware that I had no effing idea where I was-in the song, or in general. So when we saw Bad Lemon, there was a groupie who had me mesmerized. your collection blows me away dude….Ironically the old '58 with Pyramid Gold Flats got the call today. Sweep playing and feeling bass.

The black '05 has LaBella Low Tension Flats and has a little different flavor of awesome.

I totally agree. That wind screen is a moisture soaking sponge. In an age of epidemics, having your own mic is wise.
Are you coming down ? Please let us know when.Cool, @JIO please send/post your dates when you have a moment.
Nice P Basses! What strings do you like on your T-Birds…understanding there’s probably more then one favorite.Ironically the old '58 with Pyramid Gold Flats got the call today. Sweep playing and feeling bass.

They did. I was going to note that!them-uns what @Miles_ONeal is sending you probably started out at my howse on the red greco.
My thought exactly.Pretty funny illustration - from where 'the artist' is standing and where she's seated - he'd be seeing her right-side! I guess you'd call that "artistic license".![]()

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that from time to time. I've even got "lost" on easy songs...and I almost always have music in front of me, and still it happens. My wife says she never notices it, so somehow I fake my way out of it. I always cracked it up to how we play something different every week with one run-through on Wed and another on Sun morning. Generally it's a couple months before we do a song again at the earliest, with it generally being a number of months if not a year or more. I hate that part. I liked a band setting much better because you keep going over songs until they are second nature....and when it's show time you don't have to think so much about it. I think learning songs without music was a help for me as well. For what I'm doing at church with different songs every week I gave up trying to memorize songs long ago. No point since you may not play that song for no telling how many months or even years....or ever. The age group of our normal audience(close to my age), that's not too likely to happen, but one never knows. Plus you might find the turkeys in the backyard pregnant.Yep, very unique place on earth. "Internet friends" sounds weird, if not creepy, but it really takes on a different meaning here. Where else could you possibly be comfortable having anyone from the club visit and gladly have them stay at your house but here?
Well, maybe not Willy. I like my frets and want no surprises after he leaves....and his fondness for certain types of women is slightly concerning.
Very kind of you. In my case nice instruments and amps are necessary since great tone is needed. "If you can't play good, you can at least sound good" is my motto.your collection blows me away dude….

Knew a guitar player/singer who smelled his own mic once..... He was disgusted.I totally agree. That wind screen is a moisture soaking sponge.
Plus you learn to work your own Mic and if it’s different it can feel and even sound different.
Don’t get me started on a smokers wind screen! Probably not as common today... Thank God!
Bars will still be open.A million people are descending on Austin for it. And it’s now predicted to be overcast.
Thank you sir.Nice P Basses! What strings do you like on your T-Birds…understanding there’s probably more then one favorite.

Yeah, how embarrassing. They have been doing the love dance of late. No body wants to see that. Needs to be a turkey motel around here.Plus you might find the turkeys in the backyard pregnant.
I meant to message you to see how you were doing with your decal changes. It's always a bit of a challenge writing a procedure/ method - glad it worked!Big thanks to @Engle for sending me some replacement decals for the many pickguards and TRCs he made fit me. I wanted a lot of options for my Gibsons and Eppi ‘birds. Since there are two different screw patterns for my Gibson ‘birds PG’s, I have quite a few (single solid black, 3-ply B-W-B, for both Gibson patterns and for my VP, plus TRC’s for both, single ply black and 3-ply, for both Gibson and the VP). Originally some had dull silver logos, and I decided that didn’t work with the basses with nickel hardware, and that’s pretty much all of them but one. Rather than get even more PG’s, TRC’s, I asked if he would be able to just send more decal/logos, along with clear instructions on removing and replacing.
I also wanted to change my VP’s TRC logo from just “Gibson”, to “Epiphone by Gibson” and have it fit on the TRC he originally made for me with a dull silver “Gibson” logo.
I changed all the logos/birds I didn’t like to the new ones he sent with nary a problem! Now I have A LOT of extras, but if I want to switch from solid black to 3-ply B-W-B on any bass I can.
And now I’m not “false advertising” on my VP:
