Thunderbird Club

I s'pose. The 62 Chevy I traded for it had a 327/250. A little bigger-and thirstier.
Mine got 20 to 25, depending on how I flogged it. It got close to 30 on a long easy highway cruise at the then 55 speed limit. My little Subie Crosstrek with the 2.1 Boxer gets about the same mileage around town except it gets a legit 30 + cruising at 75 - 80.

I loved the sound of that silver burst! Can’t wait until my “Royal Olive Green” custom shop arrives next week. If it sounds anything like your silver burst I’ll be beside myself.
I have the DA tapes on the TV Silver one and they really bring out the bottom in a Hoffneresqe sort of way with those pickups. The Silverburst will keep the stainless rounds. But I may actually try flats, probably SIT Powerflats, on the white one. Three Thunderbirds with the same hardware yet three different string sets.

Yes, I bought it somewhere between 2005 and 2010. Was graciously invited to join the club here around 2015 and been buying birds of every flavor since.

Up to 19 now with no two a like, there’s lots of different tone flavors out there in the Tbird world - P/J’s, Sidewinders, Grecos, Dingwalls, Single coils, humbuckers from China and Epiphone and Gibson and Bartolini and EMG and Fender, active/passive, coil splitting, series and parallel wiring, and the list goes on and on. With every purchase I try to find the one that will not be a complete sound duplicate of something I already have.
That one is quite a way to start. My first was a bolt-on with beer residue all over it. The opposite end of the spectrum.

Precision Deluxe.
They’ve changed through the years.
@Chucky Stiletti , what year is yours? I had the same one around 2002. I think that’s around when that model was released.
it’s a 2010, I believe they went to the J bridge pup shortly afterwards……excellent compromise between a P a Ray and with the pup pan, pretty much everything in between…..I believe they came from the custom shop….the neck/hs and body are smaller than on std Ps….

Is $450 solid for those? Any known issues to look for? Anything to look at to prove it is what it is? Pics look like a 67 from what I found.

Are those genuine mudbuckers?
Sorry for the slow reply. I was at a conference/traveling home. Others have probably answered, but I'll chime in anyway. Looks good. I think $450 is reasonable as you could easily pay $300 for a 60's mudbucker. They are made of pressed wood, so as long as it hasn't been exposed to moisture...

We're back at the PSL Legion on the 26th. It's our only 4 hour gig. All the rest-including tonight's Elks Club gig-are 3 hours.
I'm seeing a trend here. We're playing the Knights of Columbus in June. Our drummer is a member. He often refers to it as the Water Buffalo Lodge or Raccoon Lodge. I'm looking forward to meeting the Grand Poobah.

Careful, those guys can pound a few and take you with them. One of my best rounds of golf was a KoC tournament. Still can’t remember the back 9.

yeah, always a 4 setter there as well…people dance lots at that one…
Not really. It's Friday Night Fish fry. The gig is 6-10. Usually, by 9:40ish they tell us to go home. All that's left by then are the barstool sitters. We do our first, kinda light, set for an hour to make the sets/breaks come out even.
