Just be careful WHERE you use it. I would think some venues would have too low of a ceiling for this to be safe. Not that being "safe" is fun.

Yeah, it would only be good for bigger venues we play and outside gigs. Never forget the great white disaster.
Would be worried that I would be pissed at my singer and want to point the headstock twords him.

Hey man I went from doing EVERYTHING to having a crew. But having to pay them sucks!!! Still, last minute, "poopie I should get my bass rig up and running cuz I was doing everything else first.
I'd still rather do everything and keep all the $! Being at a venue from between 2-4 pm til 2-3 am and driving home sucks too but it's worth the 90-120 min on stage.
Was ready to call it an early night and my singer texts me to say that he thinks I'm playing the fill on the last verse of Shout at the Devil differenty than the recording and fix it by tomorrow at practice. I was thinking that flamethrower would be a great way to get him to see that I'm playing it right
Yeah we are doing two full Crue sets and a set of 80's covers as well. Don't want to split cash with another band. Starting at the bottom, but no shortcuts. Good thing is that there are tons of rooms in NY/NJ/PH area that book tributes. All I need is to pick out a wig already
That's funny u said that, I realized after 2 1/2 years of playing it, I was doing it wrong. The first fill is just drums but I always did the 9th fret double stops. Dumbass. Also, I could not for the longest get that extra note on the chorus and sing back ups til recently.
I have a bud in Boston in a killer Slipknot tribute, slip-not and he's filled in for Robbie for Godsmack shows.
Singer wants everything note for note, drum fill for drum fill. I hit a low G once and he was freaking out because he said it should be an octave higher. I was thinking that the average person at a show will never know the difference, but I'll just play the high G.
Hate to say it bro, he's right. The drunk fans won't know but the booking guy/promoter/ owner will see it in video and 10 tiny things add up to door gigs. It's all in the details. Put it this way, some tribute bands make 5-10k a show. It's all about what you want out of it.
What is going to happen is that we will have to end up playing it over the PA tomorrow and settle who is right. He's very picky and blunt with comments. I tend to sit back and let it slide, but when I hit my point, the Ukrainian temper and stubbornness comes out.
