Hey... if I want a single T-bucket for my Blackbird, I wonder if selling my pair of Deep Sixxes would cover the cost of one? Not unhappy, just considering my pickup, where it sits along the scale length, what I'm getting from it compared to a more trad 'Bird- and do I even want a more trad sound anyway, etc.

Just throwing around here... my experience with this particular set of building blocks is very limited.

There's a 'burst, bolt-on Epi 'Bird, used, for $400 in a local shop here. I haven't said anything...

They regularly go for 200 - 250 on the local Craigslist, sometimes with case included. There's a appears to be in VG condition white one on there now for 300 I keep talking myself out of making an offer on. Been there three weeks...

There is also brand new set neck here in NYC at SA for 449.

I think that's a decent deal.

The neck relief is where I need it to be.
Money is tight.
I'm lazy when it comes to online ordering, since I don't have a regular shipping address and limited credit card capabilities as well.

If there was a local solution, I would have it by now. Anyone know of a local solution?

Also, I am skeptical about it even working, since it starts small and ends fat, the part that likely still is the least stripped, is getting less wrench. I want some magic mimetic polyalloy T-1000 shape shifting wrench. Or some way to mold a wrench to the actual stripped nut.

If it was a guaranteed thing ,spending $12 plus shipping for a single wrench might not be so bad. I don't know otherwise.

That broke, really. I forgot that recently, had some gig money, and the ideal fury popped up after I had settled on another. Started spending more freely, then it added up and I realized I was in trouble again. Im also the guy who won't join a band that expects money each time to pay for rehearsal studios. It is that tight.

But the main issue is I am afraid it won't work, kinda want to try one first to see if it gets enough grip. I don't even buy new strings, I soak the old ones in alcohol.

Don't feel so bad, I know what's it's like.
Really hoping to have enough saved up for the new Epiphone Bird if it turns out to be what I'm hoping.

Also willing to sell/trade my Squier if need be for one.

Let's face it, I've only played slightly over a handful of Birds.
And the best hands down ever was from someone's private collection.
Single pick up '64.
And it was the quincentennial bark, bite and growl tone monster.
So wish I could afford a thing of beauty as that.

I had my first gig last night with the Epi Tbird Classic. This thing is a tone monster! I was slightly concerned about the negative comments regarding neck dive and and the bass falling forwards, no such problems for me, it was incredibly comfortable to play although I do need a longer strap to get the full experience (and stances!). The only mystery to me now is why aren't more people playing them? It feels like an exclusive club.

Too many people believe the propaganda. Plus, it just proves that the 'Bird picked you. They just spit out most people, apparently.
