I heard they really don't have a traditional Thunderbird sound, so never had GAS for one.

Played the newly-one-p'up TBird at rehearsal today. Getting used to it, it's definitely different... seems strangely thinner sounding, but the tone is very punchy and packs a good wallop down low.

There is also now a more pronounced 'Honk', a more barkey midrange than it has with the bridge p'up- seems the bridge p'up mellowed that out somehow.

I don't mind the changes, I'll learn how to get the most out of this new formula. It was fun to play today, the band is getting good and the new sound was, I thought, effective.


I'll have to post a clip when I can.

Imagine explaining this thoroughly to the person you are trying to pick up at the club, how long before they run pulling their hair out?. LOL!. If I could remember this word for word I would try.

When I yanked out my bridge pup and just had the Rick pup in the neck it was a much more aggressive attack but I did end up filling the bridge gap with a Rick pup copy but I find I keep the volume at less than half anyway so I may as well just have left it out for good. I honestly dont think I would miss it as I didnt for the short time it was out.

Sorry, you have made a critical error in your conditions. 2am is 0200, not 1400. 1400 is 2pm.

Please redo and resubmit for marking before next class.

why so much? And $340 for a goth? I don't get it. My goth was $175, and turned out to be an older Korean one. Truss rod not stripped and turned easily, unlike the $200 w/case 2015 sunburst China version. Still need to order a stewmac gripper for that one, hopefully that is enough to make future adjustments.

I just don't get why a bass that is $349 new, frequently on sale for $299, everyone asks for 300+ used. It's like peavey USA basses where people boost the "murica" angle to try to get 3x for them. Suckers keep buying them, which ruins it for the rest of us...

I'm pretty sure that TV silver is still sitting in that pawnshop with too high a price. I should check.

There's a 'burst, bolt-on Epi 'Bird, used, for $400 in a local shop here. I haven't said anything...
