Man. One of my first concerts. He had recently left Traffic and was opening for the early Doobie Brothers on their first headlining tour. Mason blew the Doobies away. It was a little sad and the audience was not kind to the Doobies. Came to find out that Johnston was really sick and should not have been trying to perform. Mason is awesome.

This weekend was my daughter’s first Mothers Day, and my wife’s first as a Grandmother (she is Nanna).
We went over on Saturday and went to the local Bowlo for lunch. A great day and to top it off my (Granddad) footy team broke a 2 week losing streak.
They went over to see the SIL’s mother (Nan) on the Sunday, the Grandmother (Baka) died only a couple of weeks ago. Dad, uncle Tim and Pa’s footy team also had a win.

That is so sweet! Congrats on the baby and all of the positive changes in your life. My Son and Daughter in law are expecting July 3rd. Life doesn’t slow down when you retire!

I used my '66 J last night doing two sets w/Bond Girl with recently installed D'Addario nickel EXLBT's and they are just broken in to retain new strings zing but with warmth & tone in the mix. No one commented on my tone (I am shocked! :laugh:) but it sounded pretty damn good to my ears!

I love semi para Eq’s.
Tons of flexibility and you can dial out unwanted frequencies, or add as needed.
Overlapping frequencies, plus having control over each bandwidth, and a bypass switch for each.
This particular unit is quite handy.

I feel myself beginning to glaze over and check out... Lol.
A one-band (edit) parametric EQ would be ideal for me. Find the troubling aspect of a room or location I'm in, notch it out...

The Broughton cuts the lows 12db, the Sine is more severe at 24db, and adds a 3db recovery gain.

I think the 12db of the Broughton was a little soft, but the 24db/octave filter is a hard cut of whatever is on the low side of the dial. I worked directly with Grant at Sine Effect and have one coming with 18db/octave filter, and retaining the 3db recovery gain.

Also, I like the logic of blocking any frequency under like 35hz which is inaudible to us, but with no HPF, the amp might still being trying to amplify it and the energy is being wasted.

My experience with the Broughton is that it’s a noticeable difference, but the Sine makes it obvious and really tightens up the low end on my AD200/OBC115 setup, especially in my rehearsal space where the room is kinda boomy and I’m competing with two guitars and drums, all in lower than E standard tunings.

Yes, that's correct about the 4OTF and a good point. It's always on except for the '64 Thunderbird and '81 G&L. Even then I'm not really driving it hard, just a little breakup and compression. Not the same as affecting the the entire signal for sure. In my case, easily 60% or more of the signal.

You know full well clients don't listen to counsel. That's why they inevitably need more legal advice....

Heck, I would love to try a T40 again. Built like a tank. Same weight as well. Peavey was ahead of of the game with the T40s, they were just so heavy and country guys went for them which meant many rock guys tended to ignore them. Other than Ross Valery. But he's played about everything over the years.
