Thunderbird Club

That Lull is to die for! Unfortunately my left hand isn’t getting along with 5 string basses these days, endless they’re fanned fret. That and a funding shortage as I prepare to put a new $50,000 roof on my house.
Jesus... You getting those Tesla solar panels up there? Want me to call some of my cousins and send them your way?

So yesterday I went to the local Church bell ringing practice. I observed mostly but had a couple of supervised goes at it.

There is more to it than I expected. I’ll keep going for a while and see where it leads me.

Yes, I may well have bats in the belfry!
Can we get a little more detail than that? Sounds pretty interesting.

Say what? That house can’t be more than 25 years old. Is it? Around here, most roofs have a 25 year warranty.
It’s a 25 year old Spanish style cement tile roof. Should be good for about 50 years with no problem. Unfortunately, I have two roof leaks that have yet to be found after a couple of attempts by “pros” to fix things. There are a couple of broken tiles but not in the area of the leaks so it may require lifting tiles off certain areas to see if there’s something going on under the tiles (bad underlayment…). I don’t think it’ll be a roof replacement, but I’m prepared financially for the worst until otherwise notified.

Cool!

I may be getting a better gig. I’ve got two irons in the fire. Knock on wood. Should know in a week or thereabouts. If so, I’ll pull the trigger on a Zzounds sparking blue, visit George, and see if Ricky still has the Lull. If not, nothing new for me for awhile. Having to work at 66 sucks. Big time.

i assume. It has been a few years now.
In about five and a half years, I will be approaching 70 and will start thinking about retiring. The work has its moments but isn't too bad overall. Plus, I like the money. Damage from recessions means there is ground to make up. There is also the eventual Lull factor.

Y'all wanna "waffle" it at the GTG? I'm trying but I don't think I'm gonna be able to get my schedule clear. I'll ship it up to V and if someone up there wins they figure out how to get it home. If someone else does they pay for shipping.

Just a thought.
Hmmmm....

Hmm...were those Schwinns?
I looked it up. This is a Thunderbird.
