Plays great, bottom end for days. Like the Kala Bass Uke I used to own, this one also captures a lot of that upright sound.

When I had my '68 EB-3, I learned Badge. Great song, one of my favorites by Cream. We play 2000 Light Years from Home with TSC and currently BG is learning this song by Mick Jagger - the theme for Slow Horses.

It was a bit of a struggle...:rolleyes: I've learned certain tricks to 'encourage' the drummer to stay the course, but it only works if they are listening!

It can be very cool to double a vocal phrase on bass. Family Man did that on a lot of Bob Marley stuff.

When I was first starting out, I bought different picks to try out. One (that I still have) was a big fat red felt pick. We're talking early '70s, and I don't know the history of Uke's... but back then I was unaware of them other than "Tiny Tim" and only saw it as a big fat red felt pick. Since then, I bought a couple "vintage" felt picks. They are fun and deliver a tone that sounds like the bass is muted. I've never used it live or in a recording session (yet), but I do use it occasionally playing my basses at home.

Agree about our flock's GTG... but I have Soundcloud recordings that say otherwise about your playing/performing abilities... :bassist:
