This club talked me out of looking for a Ric. Now suddenly it's a Ricfest.
I went to the store a couple weeks ago ready to pay for one. Tried a few 4003s models and could not get along with it whatsoever. I was a sad sad boy.

Oh wait!! An unexpected T-Bird sighting!
And another one-

Good man. Broccoli needs some kind of "help." Virtually anything will help.
Simple. Thunderbird players are tried of not having neck dive. Thus Rics are an obvious and logical choice. This club talked me out of looking for a Ric. Now suddenly it's a Ricfest.
Given some subjects of late relating to southern bands and Ricks, I thought I would share this vid-
Happened a few times. Strings are much closer to the edge of the board than I'm used to.Okay
Sorry, I must have missed an earlier post. You had strings slipping off the edge of the fingerboard on a new Epi Tbird 64?
Another band of that time frame, thought not southern, it does feature another blonde Rick-
It looks like Gumby rubber.
We had Jim Ladd on KMET “A Little Bit of Heaven 94.7.” He’d put Achilles Last Stand on and still have a hard time getting back on mic in time.Great tune; just a tad long for air play. Now, that is. I can't recall(a lotta things)the call letters or frequency of the Miami AOR station-it was in the mid 70s and didn't last very long. Couldn't get enuff advertisers. They played all kinds of extended versions with long solos, etc., such as the 17 minute version of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.We had Jim Ladd on KMET “A Little Bit of Heaven 94.7.” He’d put Achilles Last Stand on and still have a hard time getting back on mic in time.
We worked it out pretty well but the crowd at the country club we were playing at just looked stunned, so I think we only played it a coupla times. That’s a blast from the past. We actually did Green Eyed Lady when we ha a keys player. It was pretty challenging.
My guitarist/singer buddy had a good voice for it. IIRC we learned it because a girl we knew liked it. I’ll add it to the list to relearn. We worked it out pretty well but the crowd at the country club we were playing at just looked stunned, so I think we only played it a coupla times.
