not really exactly the same…in a keyboard you are already in the digital domain so transposing is more straightforward than having to digitize the signal for that sole purpose…It's the equivalent of the keyboard player using the transpose function.
All flavors of birds -
Yeah, that’s who I’ve been with for the past bunch of years. Kris is aces…. He’s with Josh Abbott these days.
unfortunately I’m off the road getting treatment for cancer, so my buddy Joe from Reckless Kelly is filling in on the shows he can do, and another friend (Bill) that plays with Kyle Nix is doing the rest of them. Hopefully I can be back out by the end of summer/early fall if my treatment is successful.
I’ve had a lot of great gigs and played with some awesome people, but the Braun family are just amazing folks. Talented, and they welcome you in as family.
I ordered the EY pickups. Hopefully I like them, but they were at least in my budget since I just sold a pedal. If I don’t like them I’ll upgrade later.
thank you all who helped, I appreciate it !
All the positive vibes, good thoughts, and prayers sent your way.
I was going to recommend starting with the EY pickups. Less money out of pocket now and you can always upgrade later if you feel the need.
Thanks! All fun builds.PS: those are some great looking basses you have!
Thanks. This club is packed with tons of great info on virtually every aspect of thunderbirds and beyond. I try to contribute where I can, and I learn a lot from others along the way.Nice stuff...as usual plus some useful information on pickups!
Gotta love a sparkle.
Oh yeah I understand the mechanics are different and it's amazing they can make it work convincingly on a bass.not really exactly the same…in a keyboard you are already in the digital domain so transposing is more straightforward than having to digitize the signal for that sole purpose…
Marshall was mesmerized by a hot groupie and forgot I traded them.Gotta love a sparkle.
Hey, a little T-Birdie was saying you might have some pickups to move. Any truth to that?
That'll happen. Did you trade for the hot groupie???Marshall was mesmerized by a hot groupie and forgot I traded them.
She was only interested in the killer bass player…and we weren’t it.That'll happen. Did you trade for the hot groupie???

I'd have struck out like Stevie Wonder at home plateShe was only interested in the killer bass player…and we weren’t it.![]()
We’ve got all type of Birds in this Club. Will do
I’m guessing in addition to T-Birds here, there are some Jag-Birds ? I thought that would be a cool bass…..
Very sad. Dodger fans will always hold him in high esteem. Rick Monday had some nice words during tonight’s Dodger radio broadcast. His legacy will live on.
I've been on a Mott The Hoople kick lately and everytime I see the Thunderbird it brings me back here. I used to d a few of their tunes back in the seventies including this one. Love this band.
We needed Miles that night. That'll happen. Did you trade for the hot groupie???
Well done.If we ever see her in the water, it will be an Arielle photograph!
