I got my LP Custom Shop for $250. No way $800 for that. I like the red, but the pickups are stock Epi IV.

And burn 2400 other properties. And thousands of acres in Los Padres National Forest, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County and Kern. Fire scares the hell out of me. More so than the potential for a big quake. And I live on the San Andreas fault. I can see it from my house.
The fire that started in Gorman Saturday was a warning. All because some idiot towing a horse trailer on I5 was dragging a dropped chain that emitted enough sparks to start brush on fire and burn thousands of acres, several cars and buildings, close the freeway for hours and otherwise adversely effect the lives of several thousand people. And the fire danger sign warnings were at low risk.
I love California. But it’s many of the people who live here, most non-natives, who give me pause. I grew up being taught all the precautions we need to take. Check and double check everything. All it takes is one negligent idiot to ruin things.

I read an interesting piece about how her career got revived. She was struggling after escaping Ike. She had a performance set for I don’t recall where. Probably L.A. Out of the blue, Bowie’s people called and asked for 60 passes to the show. Her manager obliged. Bowie, Jagger (they were doing the Dancing in the Streets takes) and Bowie’s new record company people all showed up. They all partied together after the show into the wee hours of the morning. And immediately after that, she had a new record deal and the rest, as they say, is history.
Yep. Long live Tina! She is missed.

I had a later gf named Kim also - big Todd Rundgren fan. (one of a few TR fan gf's) Only other singer as across-the-board with women was Neil. Similar vocalizing in a lot of ways - vulnerable and sensitive. Lost touch with her but she might have gone on to be a lawyer if I recall correctly.
