Thx. Fun build, can’t wait to plug it in.Beautiful!
With you there. I have the SVT and the two Mesas. At some point down the line, I’ll probably add a GKrb just ‘cause. But I certainly don’t need another head.
TI Jazz flats?String question. The JC bass came with what feels like low tension strings. I’ve never played strings this “floppy.” My digital micrometer says 100-50. They are flats with red silks. Any idea what they might be?
They sound good but definitely takes some getting used to.
They'll sound better if you go over those silks with a blue SharpieTM. (blue + red=...)String question. The JC bass came with what feels like low tension strings. I’ve never played strings this “floppy.” My digital micrometer says 100-50. They are flats with red silks. Any idea what they might be?

Pretty articulate sounding? Not a ton of bottom end, but enough?String question. The JC bass came with what feels like low tension strings. I’ve never played strings this “floppy.” My digital micrometer says 100-50. They are flats with red silks. Any idea what they might be?

TI's are known for being pretty low tension and the Jazz Flats do have red silks. But a typical set of Jazz Flats is 43-100 if I remember correctly. With a 56 and 70-72 for your D&A strings if I remember correctly.
…Or maybe four if you’d like those wide range humbuckers in a NR Bird body…

…why stop there, they sound great in a semi hollow as well.
The bird in the middle is still in progress, if it sounds half as good as the Tele on the right it’ll be a roaring success. God I love those wide range humbuckers! In my book tied for first along with Greco Tbird humbuckers.
If they feel pretty low tension and have red silks I'd be willing to bet they're TI Jazz flats. My micrometer is a bit flakey, so could be 43-100, which is one of the 34” scale TI sets. The JC bass pickups have plenty of low end, so hard to separate what the strings are influencing. There is reasonable definition of the D and G strings.
Where did you get the chrome control plate from? I’m looking for exactly this on my latest project bass!
Yeah. Only reason I changed-and saved-a set of EBCFs on my TBird was that they(EB)came out with a new set that looked interesting: 45/65/80/100. Love 'em. I'll prolly go with a set of them on my Embassy. In a few months/years/decades.
Or just sunburst.totally….sunburst with white guards look especially good on that body style imho…
