little clip from yesterday…..love playing with Claire, she’s just a natural, not surprising being Ross Valory’s niece…
It is. It is especially fun live on the upright. That would be fun to play live.
My cover band couldn't all get together to rehearse before our last gig, so we just did a vocal session to work out harmonies. We nailed the new tunes, but there were some pretty loose endings on some of the older stuff. I would put a smiling emoji here, but those don't seem to work today! The concert band rehearses every Tuesday night(the concerts are also on Tuesdays-doesn't conflict with pay gigs). The 60s/70s cover band hasn't rehearsed for over a year. We don't need to. We know the 'form' of songs. If someone wants to do something 'new', he tells the rest of us and what key; we listen to it on YT/whatever, talk it over-if needed-and play it on the gig. We've never had a f---* up.

Looks about like my gold top MIC, except I added a tailpiece and locking studs.Ok not exactly Thunderbird, but close...
This is the bridge on my new Jack Cassady sig. Is it too high?
I'm trying to get the bow out of the neck (it's not real bad) and I need to raise the action a hair to avoid buzz.
Just looking for some advice, thanks!

What's wrong with it Dave? The JC Geo hooked me up with has low action, no buzz, and a low bridge. Something is off but I’m not the expert.

I'm with you on that!I’m pretty sure it’s the bigger one also. I’m not keen on the big body birds. Just my personal opinion, but there’s two things thunderbirds don’t need - bigger bodies and bigger headstocks.
Nothing wrong with mine. I was referring to the original post with the really high bridge. What's wrong with it Dave?

That NRT4........
Oh, there’s nothing wrong with that one. I would guess it’s Made in Chain and has more neck angle like mine:Nothing wrong with mine. I was referring to the original post with the really high bridge.
I’ll bring it down for you.LOL - why do I have a feeling that if I got that bass and had it delivered to the GTG, by the time I got it down here it’d be the most well broken in bird on the west coast.
What is it going for?
There’s a pair of Dark Stars heading your way shortly.I don't know as it's listed as "pre-owned", I would venture 5500.00 as it's nearly new. I do like the tone of the pickups when Spencer played fingerstyle, though if it were a bass I ordered I'd use Lulls - But then, everyone knows that![]()
