Since I can't seem to search within threads anymore. Does anyone know if the Hipshot BT1 extender and HB1 tuners are a direct fit for my Epi Vintage Pro with the Wilkinson tuners? If so do I get the standard key or short key? Thanks!

As I said all of our plans got moved around and I forgot to reinclude the GTG as now possible. I started to see the post and realized I could have driven up. Even though other activities filled up the void.
I would have bought the cat if no one was allergic, he’s an easy hang…
Hey KB.
If you have a fairly new VP you will use the BT 1 extender.
The top two screws will line up but you will have to drill two new holes for the lower part of the plate.
The very first generation VP came with a larger back plate. That one is the BT 2
I never saw a reason to replace the rest of the Wilkinson tuners so l can’t say if you would have to drill the lower holes on them.
I used the standard size key.
The black VP has the BT1

V said in addition to the normal juniper berries for the gin, they add pea flowers. That gives the color.

Love Wandré guitars/basses - never saw or held one though... that's cool you were able to! I have a book on him that is quite comprehensive and interesting - nobody like him.

A Wandré is a collectors item and their price reflects that. I briefly owned a '85 4003 that I bought w/HSC for $400. I had to put another $400 into it to get it stock, but I think it was as good as any Ric regardless of cost. Prices for vintage instruments are nuts today.At 1/3 the price of the Wandre, the Ric is practically a steal! Seriously, I fell in love with it.

Yah but if that ding was put in it by a famous player it would increase its value!
The second shop we went to had a blue ‘70 Mustang with a fairly large gouge in the lower bottom. It played ok. But they wanted around 4 or 5 k for it. Nuts. There wasn’t really anything special about it.
