Random thought for a Sunday: I don't "slappa-da-bass", but I used to occasionally slap tongue the sax. especially the bari. IDK if I even remember how anymore.
Here's a vid of some guy doing the technique on an alto sax. Works better on a lower pitch horn. You've heard it some older R&B tunes.

Years ago I rode with a cycling club-mate who had a classic steel Eddie Merckx bike like this one - modeled after one the Belgian superstar won many races on.
It had a sticker of EM on the head-tube. Eddie looked more than a little like Elvis with '70s mutton-chops et al. He was certainly "The King" of pro cycling during his rein.
Very cleverly he had stickers made that mimic'd the HT image of Merckx surrounded by the World Champion stripes and his down-tube lettering - in Harpo Merckx, with an image of Harpo Marx on the head-tube! Only if you looked close could you tell a difference. This was before easy pics so I never got a pic of it - but it was brilliant. Your Alfred E Newman/Willbird reminded me of it. As AEN was modeled after Alfred Einstein... genius!
