It does - it's my 2nd VFR and lately I've not been riding it enough. I put thousands of miles on my '93 750 VFR, but less on this '05 800 Intercepter. Note to self: throw a leg over! Like 'classic' basses/guitars - good design never gets old.

can’t beat the sound of Webers…..

Webbers sound good. The intake hiss of SUs is pretty good, too. More sound than fury, but you can't have everything. I has been more than 40 years, but I miss the visceral incompetence of my TR-2. It was the perfect car.

That is similar to figuring out doghouse slap triplets, depending on whether the slap is before or after the note. And the hand thing which is a lot more physical.

Being a cave dweller means the physical aspect is pretty much the thing.

Two hr (2 sets) outdoor Farmers Market gig starting at noon tomorrow in the outer Sunset of SF with the Sean Conneries. Pretty low-key gig, more done to get-in with the local promoter of it for better SF gigs. This is our 2nd stab at it and so far everyone was happy with our 1st appearance there about a month ago. SF is not the powerhouse it once was as far as clubs and opportunity - primarily because of constantly escalating real-estate values, closing clubs, and an over-abundance of bands. So to get on a 'list' (not sure I could call it an A-list) of better venues, there is a need to check boxes at a lower level. We look at it like a live rehearsal, so we make the most of it.

As weather can be foggy, I'll be using my EXP Bass IV and my small (1x12") Acoustic B20 combo amp, which considering our overall volume is more than sufficient. The Bass IV is a versatile bass that has a great neck and dependable tone. I used it at the last gig there and it delivered.

Frank was taking it real easy on Sunday, his work has been keeping him pretty busy - He actually works at his job, unlike me.
The bike is a 2022 Kawasaki W-800, it's meant to look very '60s, they only do one color option on the tank for each year.

Here's another same vintage re-fin Bird for much less, but w/o OHSC if that's important to you. As someone who owns one ('64 OHSC) - only valuable as an investment... the case sucks otherwise.

Sexy beast there! Wearing a Dunlop strap?

It was a signature model designed by a Japanese pop bassist in collaboration w/ESP and visually based on a Fender Bass V baritone guitar. Actually the strap is a brand called "Ovation".., but I doubt it relates other than (same) name to Ovation guitars/basses. But then, I could be wrong...
