A weird one in the wild: https://reverb.com/item/76006759-gi...usly-owned-by-johnny-winter-sunburst-1965?bk=

First, the only "evidence" of ownership is a tag with Johnny's name on it. While I hope CME is trustworthy, that's a bit weak. Second, Johnny wasn't a bass player. Or he wasn't known as such. You got a Johnny Winter Firebird? That'll fetch a fat premium. So at this price, it's a hard pass.
That has been on there a long time. I recall seeing it last year. Who knows. It looks nice. If he owned it, he rarely picked it up. I’m not going to ever buy one though. But offer $7500 and see what happens. Easy for me to say…

I have them on a custom Jack Casady. They are definitely lower tension than EBCF or SIT Power Flats. Though I have to admit EBCF are a match made in heaven for my Epi Classic Pro.

The EBCFs are a pass for me. They didn’t sound anything but ok on any of the Tbirds I tried them on. Thunderbirds thrive with stainless steels rounds. They’re tough birds.

I know you don't like FL, but between yer fires and that [stuff], I'm staying here. With 'canes we get notice to do-or not-something. Like leave.

I get that Mike. But unless you’re +or- five miles the epicenter, modern homes/buildings usually survive a 6 or less with little or no damage. Hurricanes are a lot more dangerous IMO. The fires scare the poppie out of me. Fun fact. 95% of our fires are started by people. Like the idiot a couple weeks ago near Chico who set his car on fire, pushed it into a ravine, and started a fire that is still going. Stupid is as stupid does. Stupid people suck.

Most guitarists own a bass for recording 'home' demo's of their work. I wouldn't doubt JW owning a similarly iconic bass as the guitars he played.

Not taking offers more than about 10% off. Good luck.

Bond Girl had a rehearsal tonight preparing for our show this coming Sunday. The rehearsal went well, but I never felt the sound was good, It was ok.., enough to proceed/hone our (2) sets, but to me the overall sound was just... ok. I've mentioned this before here... depending on many things - some out of our control.., conditions can make or break the "sound" of a rehearsal. Tonight, I very much felt this - all my settings were exactly the same, playing the same bass... but something was "off". Oh well... mission accomplished and hopes for a good sound on Sunday. It's just how it goes sometimes...
And we were having earthquakes here. Coincidence?
