Thunderbird Club

Sorry I'm not there for your Birthday, on Saturday Chuck.
Cheers, and much love, brother!

Thanks y'all!

Wasn't tuning, was going for a quick play over the top of fretboard, but of unnecessary showboating.😁
It was too quick for tuning, so I wondered!
The whole band did a great job, but especially the bassist/vocalist. Hopefully get to meet that guy in person some day.

I would say they are slightly softer sounding than the DTFs, if that helps any. They toned down some of the typical Pbass mids and just made it fatter sounding, yet not boomy, dull or indistinct. That's at least what I noticed. I think I initially tried them on something else, but don't recall what.
Possibly a bass?

That's interesting hearing your take on them Jeff. I haven't thought of them as brighter. But I have never had both sets on the same bass that I recall. I'll have to pay more attention.
They do feel great. The best feeling flat I've ever recall played. Make glass feel rough!
Better than Pyramid Golds?

LOL - snot on a half shell.
Have a fantastic B’Day Chuck!
Might be up your way in November for a Monterey run, Carmel visit, Santa Cruz hang, Big Sur hike and hopefully catch one of your shows. Might even bring the B-18 fliptop up for a quick visual inspection and garage jam.
HA!…..don’t think I ever tried snot….
