If it’s like the 500w Ampeg RB-210, it will only run at 500W if you connect an 8ohm extension speaker cabinet. Still, might be plenty loud at 250w with 2 x 10”

I have the RB-112, and I think it’s a spectacular sounding combo, but it’s only for use in my garage and/or back patio for solo practice. The 112 would not be nearly enough for either of my bands.

The R500 is 350W on its own, 500W when used with an additional 8 ohm cab.

I don't know percentages here, but Texas uses an insane amount of electricity in data centers. A non-trivial percentage of that goes to bit-coin mining (or did a year ago, unsure today) and AI (mainly GPUs). And that generates a LOT of heat.

My two '64 Epiphones look similar at the bridge and as has been mentioned it is a running change in the basses since production was shifted from Indonesia to China. My Eber Red one is quire nice, it came from Sweetwater and they seem to have given it a good once over, no problems.

My Blue one came from Zz Sounds, in person it's quite beautiful, I simply love the color. Out of the box it did need a set up as there was a little bit of fret buzz on a couple of strings. It also does have a hair line crack in the finish on the low side of the neck at the nut, it's just barely visible.
FWIW my white Vintage Pro has cracks at the nut as well, nothing serious and no as pronounced as your pics - I would be sending that bass back!

I contacted Zzounds and they sent a RA label by the next morning. I'll get it packed and out hopefully by tomorrow.

Yep. Watching each episode was the thing to do, then talk about it next week. I would come home from doing things I shouldn't and watch it on my small B&W TV in my bedroom and crack up.

There have been a lot of moments over the years. But not the consistency. All in all though, a pretty amazing run. It’ll likely end next year.
