Thunderbird Club

I’ve always been curious about the rackmount version.

But the closest I’ve gotten to sorta coping that tone was with an Ashly SC-40.
I’m now using this to get that tone back again.

I'm curious... do you tweak the knobs until you hear what you are after, or do you set specific parameters anticipating what you expect/are going for?

Saying goodbye to my gigmobile. Got T-Boned tonight on the way home from a gig. Have to go collect my gear-or what's left of it-tomorrow at the tow yard. I'm a bit stiff, but nothing broken AFAIK.. Wasn't using the 67NR tonight-had the Epi Embassy and Epi EB-0 backup. Should be 'interesting' seeing the damage in daylight. The drummer is gonna take me down there to collect my 'stuff', which I'll bring home and test. Both the drummer and I will be taking lotsa pics for insurance. I'll be pretty busy with the insurance company for a while, so I may not be posting much. Lucky(?) it hit the passenger side door-and that I was alone.
It was a really good evening 'til about 9PM.:(

Really sorry to hear that, Mike. So glad you're ok. And the '67.

Oh no. :(

but I was only in a 'casino' once in my life.

Funny, I spend a lot of time in a casino, right in San Bruno (VERY close to SFO), but I’m no gambler, luckily. I’m at this specific casino because they are one of my bigger clients and I do all of their low voltage work, including cameras, access control, network cabling, electronic security, and any odd special application, such as monitoring their flood gates they have in front of the street level entrances and driveway to the basement parking area. I have worked in and on this building since 1988. I have probably spent more time there than some places I have lived. Not to mention I take care of all of their off site buildings and the owners’ residential properties as well.

But I have never once played a game there.

I have no qualms about admitting this, but I was only in a 'casino' once in my life. It was in the '70s in Lincoln Nebraska. My fading memory is of a very annoyingly loud, cigarette smoky environment. Yah, cheap or free drinks - at that time I didn't drink alcohol - so free Coke (a Cola). I plugged $5 into a "one-armed bandit" and eventually won my $5 back. I witnessed old chain-smoking ladies pumping multiple coins into the machines. I went there with my brother-in-law who was into that sorta' thing. It was an experience I never repeated. Years earlier, I made summer money for art-school (college) by working at a horse-race track in Omaha Nebraska where I grew up. One of my jobs was sweeping the grand-stands after the races ended. We swept up all the LOSING tickets - many thousands of them. Awaiting this duty, we all witnessed down-&-outs that lost their only money on the races. My family was never into betting - and seeing this all first hand informed me to avoid that 'world' like the plague.

Yah, love the romantic allure in film... but...

People enjoy it, but it was never of interest to me either. I grew up a stone's throw from Churchill Downs and knew many who worked there. There is a whole very unglamorous side most never see. As kids, we used to walk in after the Derby for the remaining race (then later two races). The things you see even from "sophisticated" people was eyeopening to us even as kids.

So sorry to hear that, Mike. Glad you are OK, that's the important part. Hope you get it sorted out ASAP.

Making money is more fun than loosing money. ;)

Sounds a lot like my career from 2004-2017, except I worked on multiple properties for the same casino company. I never played anything. I've been to Vegas for conferences 6 times and only gambled once, placing a bet on the Canucks. Of course they lost:laugh:

Oh no. Hope it’s nothing major. Stuff can be replaced. Sorry you have to deal with that.

The only betting I ever did was to pick the Chargers to win the Superbowl every year back when I followed football before the NFL let them abandon San Diego. I’d place the bet at the beginning of each season. $20.00. Of course that never panned out.

I have friends in San Bruno and know of that casino.
