Been watching that one a few days now. Decided to call the Bass Shop and negotiate a better price. It should be here by the end of the week.

These are rare, especially with the swamp ash body. Taking a bit of a chance on how it sounds with those pup placements, but you know me, I’m all about unique sounding Tbirds, and I usually favor the neck pickup (in this case the bridge pickup).

I’m hoping the heel pickup is at least somewhat useful at thickening the sound a bit without going total mush on me. If needed I might end up revising the control layout to Twin Volume Tone stacks so I can dial in as much or as little heel pup at whatever tone setting works best for it.

A guitarist friend turned me onto it a few years ago so I bought one (used) and it is always on and part of my chain. After playing around with various settings - I set it; Le Contour 11:00 and Process at 1:00 and I never touch it. It's the last pedal in my chain into the amp. What does it do? I'm not certain but whatever it does I like it.

I’ll know soon enough. I’m buying a used one one from a guy at work getting rid of his guitar gear to focus on another hobby.

I hope you like it as much as JIO and I do. I set mine about 2:00 and 10:30 or so. Kind of the opposite of JIO. I think I can speak for both of us in that once you set it how you like it, you'll likely never need to touch it again. Without question I would even buy a brand new one if mine died. I would begin with both at 12 and slightly go from there on each.

Not that I mightn’t have been barefoot in the snow.

Cheap Trick was doing a lot of Beatles stuff and Tom wanted something that would have that woody, wooly sound that Paul got from his Hofner.
It'll certainly be very different from your other Birds, I'm sure it will be a great player, plus, it was built by Mike before his passing.

Not likely, but if @Chucky Stiletti has a gig going on the weekend of the 15th I’ll bring it up for him to try out (along with a couple other one of a kind basses and maybe even a B-15n flip top).
