I was at Lull's on Thursday dropping off my EB-3 for a set up and testing of the 4 way switch, all of the original art for the TP4 is still up in the office.

I used an old rack mounted Sonic Maximizer for my DB for several years in the 90s - I still have it too, but the pots are a little noisy now. It's an amazing little unit and it really fattened up my old Underwood pickup without having to use a preamp into my SVT II amp and SVT 810 cabinet. I had no idea they made a stompbox. I might have to check one out.

The Sonic Stomp pedal. Mine doesn't have numbers. I don't think. It's on my amp and I never look at it any more.

Practicing up for JOHNNY SMOKE's 30th anniversary show. While I am not in the band at the moment I am the longest serving bassist of the band and am pleased to have been invited to perform half a dozen numbers. Using my stripped natural 60s Nonreverse Thunderbird IV running through my 800 stage Rumble and Joyo British Sound pedal.

Been watching that one a few days now. Decided to call the Bass Shop and negotiate a better price. It should be here by the end of the week.

These are rare, especially with the swamp ash body. Taking a bit of a chance on how it sounds with those pup placements, but you know me, I’m all about unique sounding Tbirds, and I usually favor the neck pickup (in this case the bridge pickup).

I’m hoping the heel pickup is at least somewhat useful at thickening the sound a bit without going total mush on me. If needed I might end up revising the control layout to Twin Volume Tone stacks so I can dial in as much or as little heel pup at whatever tone setting works best for it.

I think I’ll be in San Pedro for the day on 11/12. If you bring it to the boat and I’ll give it a nice vacation :cool:
