Hey, now! I’ve thought about building an effect to sit atop my Rumbles with a couple old tubes, old caps and resistors (and transformer, of course) just to add the proper olfactory ambiance.Freak.

Mullard City!
Someone say ChemE?It's a beautiful aroma. If we only knew a chemical engineer who could turn that smell into an aftershave we would be good....
You may want to look at getting in ear monitors.Good evening Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers. I hope all are enjoying a relaxing long weekend. Crazy busy week with auditors in my office. Worst part was they didn't finish and will continue for the next week or so remotely.
Played at the Fall Folk Festival this afternoon at a local community College auditorium. Great event celebrating music and cultures from around the world. Played a Saturday ago at a club downtown that we have played a few times in recent months. As fate would have it, at both gigs, I haven't been able to hear myself. Very disorienting. At the bar, I was between a large PA speaker on a table and the drummer. Today at the auditorium, all the sound gear was supplied. Our sound check ran long, and I was last to go. Horrible buzz at first (ground lift?), but got it addressed. I was in my monitor until about the entire minute of our set. Seemed awkward, but after the first song walked over to a mic and asked for more bass guitar and got it for a minute or so. Learned later they turned it up in the house. I don't know if it was an issue with a DI, or what, but very disorienting. Rant over.
Wondering if anyone has any experience with the Gene Simmons Thunderbird. I have heard they have a chunkier neck. I am no particular fan of Gene, but love Thunderbirds and sometimes chunky necks.
Thank you to any of our members who are or have served in our nation's military. I hope everyone gets an extra day in their weekend.
I love "Mullard #EL84." Great Christmas gift.
Better than a Lava Lamp--and I love Lava Lamps! Talk about mood lighting.Hey, now! I’ve thought about building an effect to sit atop my Rumbles with a couple old tubes, old caps and resistors (and transformer, of course) just to add the proper olfactory ambiance.

But it was such pure rock and roll!Trying to avoid a repeat of that!
Maybe but when the the inexperienced med tech was sticking a needle directly into to the wound to numb it and then took so long sewing it closed the painkiller wore off (I could feel everything again as it was happening) I thought "Hmmmm, how did I get here?"But it was such pure rock and roll!
Yes, Thanks for serving, Mike (and any others).Happy Veterans Day (Mike & anyone else)![]()
