and Bassmans??....we're the guitars also Gibson? No idea(way above my pay grade), but they were issuing EB-3s in 66-67.

Well, I can only speak about the last Navy Band I was assigned to in Charleston, SC. The guitarist had his own(ES-335?). IDK if there was an assigned guitar. The only Navy issue amp was a Super Reverb, which was also used for bass. I vaguely recall that Frank(the guitarist)also had his own amp. No idea what it was.and Bassmans??....we're the guitars also Gibson?
the military is probably a good contract for musical instrument manufacturers.....wonder if lowest bidder wins....like Kay for uprights....Well, I can only speak about the last Navy Band I was assigned to in Charleston, SC. As I was mostly (officially) a saxist, I didn't know-or care-about guitars/amps/etc. The volume the regular bass player or I played did no harm to the 4x10s in the Super Reverb.the military is probably a good contract for musical instrument manufacturers.....wonder if lowest bidder wins....like Kay for uprights....
Spending too much time in the GP?I want to start a punk/thrash jam band called Frantically Thrashing About. Likely a four piece, possibly with multiple bassists. We'll play one gig, clearly lost the whole time, and implode spectacularly - possibly on stage, possibly afterward. Should be a blast.
Mine is about 2:00 and 10:30. I think JIO's are roughly the opposite or reverse of my settings.I’ll have to play with it again once it’s hooked back up. It was someone here’s suggestion but I forget whose and what.
What kind of bass legal advice is that--on a bass thread no less? That’s two kidneys. Don’t do it. Frank needs you.

Or for those enamored with birds with an official pedigree, there’s Gibson and Epiphone offerings…

And then there’s always my favorite, the North built birds…

…and that’s my two for Tuesday offerings. I’m gonna go jam on that Thundercaster now, such a massive sounding bird. If all my other Tbirds were eagles and hawks, this one’s a freakin ostrich.

Those first two pictures are like looking at a Ven Diagram, lots of commonalities and a few differences. All beautiful basses.
I’m still in love with that black bass of yours. Those Dark Stars sound so musical. Loved the innovative touches on it as well.
