As with many things - I think it was a British thing/term/genre that never got over the 'pond'.

I’m still in love with that black bass of yours. Those Dark Stars sound so musical. Loved the innovative touches on it as well.

The red one is owned by Rudolph Rock at Zwick in Hamburg. The matte black one (Gojira) is in my stable for now. As you know, it was at the T-bird GTG #2. Yes, the Novak Darkstar's are among my faves - I'm currently creating a new hybrid bass of original design and will load the rare and sought-after Fender PV64 J pu's in it. Staining them in that dark tobacco section would make them disappear. Just don't use a black marker as it looks more 'blue' than black-brown.
