Thunderbird Club

I'll make it from an unbleached bone blank. That will look like an aged Gibson plastic nut.
...aged Gibson plastic nut??? My '64 II had a bone nut, mis-cut from the factory. I replaced it with a brass nut that I made for it.

Brown sugar shortbread with melted Hershey bars.
Yum! Shortbread is my favorite cookie! My friend Candice makes these outrageously yummy cookies she calls "Congo Bars"; Rice Crispies (glued together with some sort of binder, probably involving sugar) with thick chocolate on top.

Probably Karo syrup.
The Rice Crispies part pretty much looks the same as from the cereal box and are light in added flavor. Doesn't Karo syrup usually darken something like that? Its pretty light & crispy with that thick chocolate topping/frosting - made in a pan and cut into squares.

Get well Donnie. Have a peaceful holiday.
Thanks Marshall. As much as our Christmas was messed up, a friend's wife found out she needs quadruple bypass as soon as possible. That's a bad Christmas. She's only a year or so older than me, so about 63. But she smoked since a teen up until a a year ago, knowing she was already prone to heart issues.

Two types, light and dark.

Hope you both feel better soon - my Beth has a cold right now but we didn't have plans so it's just a lot of rest. Merry Happy yall'
Thanks Geo. Hope Beth gets better soon and you don't get it. It's really rare for both of us to have something at the same time. As in the second time in 30 something years that I know of.

Just chilling up at the mountain. The wife and kids are there all week. I have to work except for tomorrow. It’s tough when it lands in the middle of the week. Otherwise we would have had a big crew there as I would get my parents and bring them over and have my brother’s family there too. Hopefully next year.

It’s supposed to rain today, but it is sadly too warm (in the 40’s) to have a white Christmas.
That sucks about working. Here everyone except retail / hospitality get Boxing Day (26th) off as well as Christmas Day.
Schools are shut until the last week of Jan (6weeks) for Christmas Holidays (think summer holidays), the courts are shut for a couple of weeks so law offices take hols as well (my wife is off 20th Dec - 17th Jan), factory workers have their break now mostly 4weeks I think and tradies take their holidays now as well… because why not? Why would they want to work the couple of weeks after Christmas?

Got the daughter, son in law and grandson here all day for his first Christmas. We are inside in the air con as it is a hot day… blue skies everywhere. Enjoying the day.
