Thunderbird Club

I'm not a comercial user nor do I have a product to sell. However, I will become a comercial user if and when I have a product to sell.

I love my Epi VP for a bunch of reasons. First because my kids surprised me with buying for me for Fathers day this year. Second, with a set of Roto 66 strings I can nail the angry piano thing. Third, is just the cool factor that has always been off the charts for me.

I do have a frustration though. I love the classic look of the two piece bridge and tailpiece but I miss the ability to easily fine-tune the setup. I am remedying that issue with a set of bridge saddles that I have designed and am haveing machined. The saddles will allow for individual string height adjustment and will be easily retrofitted to my existing bridge.

Does the club think that there is a market for such a retrofit kit?
Possibly. I can get my two-piece where I need them. But others? It's a good idea for some no doubt.

What’s everyone doing for the holidays?
My wife’s twin & her hubby are here for a week along with our Alaska daughter, her hubby, & our 3 grands, so the house is full. Lunch with our son & grandson yesterday. We have at least 6 others coming for dinner tomorrow, and various visitors our daughter wants to see Thursday. (I’m not playing tonight at the service.) keeping an eye out for the right discounted (used, blem, etc.) purple sparkle.
Quite time at home with no festivities. We both have some kind of cold type thing (fortunately no bat sandwich flu). Everything has been put on hold until further notice for us.

This kind of thing (not docks) was why we never lacked or had to look for work. Way too many professionals, in fact, don't know what they are doing.
There were 3 workers and a crane on that end of the pier. The 3 were rescued and the crane floated out to sea. Not sure if it sank or was towed back. :rollno:

Our tradition when I was a kid were Bohemian potato pancakes that my maternal grandmother made. I miss that.

But for years now we’ve been doing the tamales thing from my wife’s Mexican side. We picked them up the other day from La Moderna Bakery in Whittier (there was a NPR piece about them last week). We’ve been getting them from there since forever. They’re still good, but not quite as good as they were back in the eighties/early nineties.
how we alleviate any QC issues.....

Mrs Bent is going nuts in the kitchen. 4 different batches of cookies and this cherry whatchamacallit
We had cookies and cocoa at church before Christmas Eve service. Far more cookies than anyone was prepared to eat - just counting homemade. We probably brought 50-60 back home.

Hope you both feel better soon - my Beth has a cold right now but we didn't have plans so it's just a lot of rest. Merry Happy yall'
