Thunderbird Club

Hope everyone that celebrates had a great Christmas and wishing you all a most excellent 2025!! We are in Florida spending time with our granddaughter (and our daughter & son-in-law) for a few more days.

How do engines with turbos act there? Do those engines in particular have to tuned differently to account for the elevation?
Depends on the boost output, but the real issue comes into play having the intake under pressure instead of under vacuum, even though the amount of air/oxygen may be the same. If that makes sense

Other wise, fuel pressure at sea level and here would be the same. Add fuel until you burn enough oxygen to meet stoich in the exhaust

Typically a motor here would be lean at sea level
A sea level engine would be rich here

In the carbureted days, they all had to lean these out about 4 steps

The EFI systems will catch up pretty quickly

Actually, that does not offend at all if you include shipping. The rare white ones are rarely offered for sale. My ‘17 ebony VP is well made, has a nice dark rosewood board, and great fretwork.
That's the thing - the more 'rare', the higher the asking price. Nothing new about that. But "rare" is many times exaggerated much like "vintage" in an attempt to 'sell' a higher asking price. Bottom line is someone wanting said item and feeling justified paying a certain price, whatever that is. Then there are those on a "fishing expedition" as Hamilton Burger would commonly accuse Perry Mason of.
