Yep that’s it. I hated that song - couldn’t get away from it. 40 weeks in the charts and 14 weeks at no 1.:facepalm::help:

The TV music show Countdown used to give the top national chart positions each week, playing the clip of the no 1. Not bloody ABBA again!
Didn’t we cheer when they got knocked off the top!

I suck at negotiating. How do y’all approach sellers when you ask for less?
I don’t like to dicker on prices, so I usually look for sales that are relatively reasonably priced and offer the asking price. If it’s ridiculously priced I don’t waste my time or theirs. In dealing with private parties where I feel a lower price is truly warranted I simply tell the seller that I’m interested in the bass and ask him what he feels is the lowest he could go and still feel comfortable with the sale. In dealing with dealers I normally look at fair market value and offer that (which is usually less than what they are listing at) and I usually ask them to throw in shipping and tax at no extra cost as well. I don’t ever counter bid.

You can never have too much purple.

I might agree with that statement. 😎

Thx Miles! I think I'm coming from where Irv is coming from, sure you can get close but the more you add to the signal chain (be it an algorithm, a higher resolution converter, increasing the sample rate, etc.) to more faithfully reproduce the original, the further away the speaker feels from my fingers when plucking if that makes sense....I like to envision the speaker directly connected to the pups and the close coupled feedback it adds.....kinda like favoring no power steering in a sports car to better feel the road.....
Agreed! At the same time, I am learning to play with a synth pedal that's determining the pitch and creating the sound starting with a sine, sawtooth, or square wave. The technology is amazing.

We now have about 10in of this dandruff of satan in addition to ice on everything.
This is from yesterday. Notice the strategically placed wall of snow in the middle of the street and at our neighbor's drive by the city worker. Classic! It was removed a while ago after I said I appreciate all the work everyone is doing to keep the city open, but could we have a different plan other than leaving that in middle of the street.

Beautiful but a pain in the aardvark.
We got down to 27 for a few hours this morning. No precipitation, thankfully. Despite the Texas' power grid's best efforts, power stayed on.

I'm on the lookout for a used sparkle purple Epi 64. Other than that one with the bad neck repair paint I'm just not seeing any. I guess people are happy with them.
I think those were a L&M limited release. I've got one two doors down - I'll drop by and will ask if there's any new or used one in the system.

Yikes! That's pretty, but looks like a lot of work. Here in the Pacific North Wet, we've had a lot of rain, but none of that!

I wish it would snow here in Seattle, but it's not looking like it will at all this winter. The worst that's happened is that I've had to scape ice off the windsheild of the Subie twice....
Enjoy a quiet, beautiful day at home :)

That song is an earworm from hell.
