Thunderbird Club

I might agree with that statement. 😎
I don't have any purple. Yet. Gotta decide which instrument to blow an unreasonable amount of money on to make it a different color. I think the 2013 EB would probably look pretty good purple. The neck and headstock wouldn't need any refinishing since the back of the neck and headstock are clear finished maple. Figuring out the wiring to take it all apart and put it all back together again shouldn't be too difficult.

I'm on the lookout for a used sparkle purple Epi 64. Other than that one with the bad neck repair paint I'm just not seeing any. I guess people are happy with them.
Just a heads up on these basses, to my eye the Purple is not even close to purple, it’s more of a lavender color. Still looks nice and unique, but if true plum crazy type purple is what you’re after, this ain’t it. I’d also add that they could have been a lot more generous with the metal flake and it would have looked even better. That said, I love the look and sound, here’s a pretty accurate close up color shot of mine…

Yeah. I'd hoped for a more purple purple. If I don't find one of these at a good price, I'll find someone to refin my VP.

Beautiful but a pain in the aardvark.
We got down to 27 for a few hours this morning. No precipitation, thankfully. Despite the Texas' power grid's best efforts, power stayed on.
We have a whole house generator. We live on a good size hill (because Kentucky is flat ;) ), and our leg of power comes in through the woods (once in the neighborhood it's underground). Given that trees love to fall on power lines I didn't want to take chances being stranded up here--in addition to liking heat and AC regardless or the power situation.

The blue just rocks my Planet.
I've only played it out once so far, never had so many comments on a bass.

I wish it would snow here in Seattle, but it's not looking like it will at all this winter. The worst that's happened is that I've had to scape ice off the windsheild of the Subie twice....
Enjoy a quiet, beautiful day at home :)
Little snow here so far, just the inversion layers that frost over everything.

That’s supposed to be much further north.
Brrr (a hobbit)!
