Busted out the big guns to try the Bicentennial Bird on. Also put the original three point bridge back on - I feel like they have an undeserved bad reputation, they always seem to work just fine for me. Also gave me a chance to condition the trip board polish up the body a bit and do a set up please like a dream. (That’s all really just a fancy excuse for posting more pictures, but hey, if not here where else?)
P.S. I believe a fair number of Germans were in the thread recently. The poster in the background is of Bonn, Germany from 2000. Jetzt geh ich ein Bitburger saufen. Prost!
Didn’t I just see those offered for sale somewhere? These are some Thunderbird pickups that are wired in such a way to allow for doing the coil tap series/parallel switch on each pickup:

Loop control is essential. Here you go:With the spare time I had from all the snow I was wondering about good control loop technologies just the other day.
*I have no clue what that even means. Even if I knew what it meant I'm pretty sure I wouldn't know what it means.
But what's the deal with "coconut water"? Please reassure us you had coffee.![]()
Opening for the Mavericks wouldn't be too bad a gig.
Excellent! Two favorites! Two songs by the Cranberries and a Suzanne Vega during lunch. This manager has good taste!
Actually, they did. And the girls in our junior high loved them. So accordingly, we pretended to like them in hopes that the song would come true.Ha ha! Yup. Did the Raspberries even have more than one song?
Never mind. I don't even care.
I believe Jeff communicates with Mark regularly.I was born down south on a chicken farm
Near Nashville, Tennessee.[1]
T'weren't nobody there
But a sky full of air,
Seventeen billion chickens, and me!
And then one day,
I said, "Hey, hey, hey!
Think I'll drop a little <three letter hallucinogen name deleted>."[5]
It blew my mind,
I got real fine,
And I set my chickens free!
There were chickens in the cauliflower,
Chickens in the corn,
Chickens playing Thunderbirds,
Chickens in the barn.
There were chickens driving Cadillacs
To Washington, D.C.
When I SET MY CHICKENS FREE!
(From memory (one line edited for TB TC relevance), as printed in Abbie Hoffman's "Steal This Book"[3][3.1].)
[1] Hi, Mark R![2]
[2] Where'd Dukeorock go? I know he's still around outside TalkBass.
[3] Oddly enough, I did not.[4]
[3.1] The comic drawings that accompanied this were great, especially the chickens riding in the 1960s-style convertible Cadillac, sporting sunglasses, wings atop the doors, etc.[6]
[4] No questions will be entertained on the subject at this time.
[5] TB.nanny avoidance
[6] Did these chickens inspire the Blues Brothers? Enquiring minds want to know!
I took two years of German in college. I still don’t know why I did that. But it comes in handy when I watch German movies or TV shows. And hopefully, I can remember enough to blend in when I get over there to visit Jeff.A few Germans and a few more heavy on German lineage
Truth is, I love seeing the world vicariously through everyone’s travels and also hearing the stories
Thanks for the background info on the poster!
Yes, Crossroads.Ha ha! Yup. Did the Raspberries even have more than one song?
Never mind. I don't even care.

Please say that's not your shirt.
The sound of all that has to suck bad. How can you stand power tubes and a Thunderbird?View attachment 7125082
