School should not be boring. That's a huge problem, though because it so often is. Especially if you're intelligent and like using your brain.

Mine came with two extras, but (so far) I don't need them.
Schools still teaching to the lowest denominator? In Junior High, my report card was A8. A for academic work and 8 for behavior. No, an 8 was as low as you could go. Maybe they should have rethought how and what they were teaching.
This group will fix that.
Yeah well, I worked for this company from 2000 to 2010. I tried dozens of cases for them. The guy in charge of everything west of the Mississippi always called and sent a thank you note. That’s all I needed. Now, someone sneezes, and 200 people respond, flooding in boxes. It is just plain weird. Now get off my lawn.

Ha! I got an A in Chemistry and a U in conduct. Conduct was graded E, S, U. Never could figure that out except that it was apparent the teacher hated me. I was a good kid. Mostly. But it had some kind of ramification at graduation. I don’t even recall what that was. And I didn’t GAS. Then or now.

So very Thunderbird Thursday................
It was funny. It's like there were two of me. Through HS was bored out of my mind except for a few classes that seemed to have practical application. Shop, I loved. The constant complaint of teachers was "Donald does not apply himself." No telling how many times that was on my report cards. Likely all of them. Went to college one year, didn't know what I wanted to do. Attorney seemed interesting but didn't want to go to do 4ys of undergrad then 2 maybe 3 yrs of law school. Again an average C student who didn't study at all. Quit and worked construction, played in bands, behaved stupidly, drank professionally, made bad choices for several years. Had a change in my life, went back to college and was always on the deans list and top of the class every semester, with some work but not pushing it. Were it not for a class from my first stab at college when I didn't care that they transferred to fill a spot so I didn't have to take that type of class I would have graduated Magna Cum Laude, but was a tiny fraction of a point off. Had I known that I would have taken that type of class again with far better results. But it was too late by the time I was told I was that close. Went on to graduate school (an intentionally very difficult one I might add--two attorneys taking classes in the regular masters program said it was worse that law school--l have no way of knowing that and it doesn't matter). I was invited into the Advanced Masters Program which is limited to a very few each year. It was a full-time 3yr program where you literally took classes year round and you had to finish classes and your research project (smaller Phd dissertation but same process) in that 3 years or you were out. Basically it was a small version of a Phd program for those planning to do that next, which I was thinking about. We had the same privileges as Doctoral students (a desk at the libary and unlimied book checkout for unlimited time because it was basically a research degree), and we could be "fellows" (graders and asstents to profs). I worked but didn't kill myself and was on the honor's list, Presidents list or whatever it was called all semisters. All that to say it was like there was there was dumb me and not so dumb me. But I was interested in what I was learning the second time. Maybe my teachers were right, I just didn't apply myself. I can be lazy and easily distracted if something doesn't seem useful or interesting. My early teachers would have been shocked how it all turned out, and the later profs would have thought I was not the same person as early on. Weird how all that works out. And I did gravitate to bass and Thunderbirds as soon as I started playing, so I guess I wasn't as dumb as I thought.

It certainly should not be. I had some great teachers. Unfortunately, what made them great are things that would never fly in today’s environment.
Like the Fiero it only needs a LS crate engine inserted.

Gradiated H.S.in '64; joined Navy later that year. Got 'out' in '68, went to Jr. College/13th grade for a coupla years. Realized pretty quickly that my problem with H.S. was spending 9 effing months in one class. Much preferred the 13 weeks per subject of college.
Maybe the Aztek 'forced itself' on the De Lorean.That's a little harsh on the De Lorean. don't ya think

I don't "Love" the look of it, but it's better than most basses that try to cop the Thunderbird vibe.
Last night I got to meet @Butcherboy and his wife.
2 of the most beautiful and sincere people I’ve met in a long time.
They welcomed Anja and I with open arms.
I was gifted this Gibson book.
And was introduced to some awesome basses.
