I tried playing bass through a Marshall 412 guitar cab years ago. That doesn't work as well, but the guitar amps through a bass cab are pretty cool!

Well, in that case, here’s about the lowest price of entry into the Greco Tbird club I’ve seen in a long time (under $700 including shipping). Plus it’s a very rare (love it or hate it look) reversed reverse Non non reverse at about the same price as an Eppi VP (which it will run circles around sound wise).

They didn’t make many 1977 TB700 birds. We need to compare serial numbers. I have a G777282, which I think is a July 1977 bass, not sure what the rest of the numbers mean.My '77 Greco.
Last 4 are the serial number.

George, I'll have to post mine later - pretty sure it's a '77. If I recall @D.M.N. Dylan knows how to date the S/N.
I'm seriously considering selling my '76 Ric and grabbing that TB900
In that era, letter is the month (A = 1), next two numbers are the year, last 4 are the serial number. So, the one I was looking at was A787874. January 1978 serial #7874.
Do typical aftermarket Thunderbird pickups and rings fit in a 70’s - ‘90’s Greco TB? I know the stock ones are supposed to be good, but the black hardware is not my fave, thinking I could swap the covers to nickel and use typical nickel rings from Philadelphia Luthier.

Mine is exactly the same as yours. I kinda wonder if that's a personal failing. But, a Lull is my holy grail for the time being. Also for the time being, I'm pretty happy with the Flamingo and pixie dust 2001. Marshall will be unimpressed, but I hardly play the '15 these days.

To each their own. My ‘15 is the most playable bass I own. The neck is perfect. It’s light. The pickups sound great through the Mesas. I haven’t really matched it with the SVT more than a few times; I don’t like taking it up to the other place a lot and there is no way I'll leave it there alone.
