Thing is that I wouldn't wear them. So that would have been a waste. I even wear sneakers to church. Granted, my sneakers are all black with black soles and black logos, so they look like plain black shoes. But there you have it.You should have bought the goat skins, I have a pair and they are about the softest most comfortable leather you’ll find…

Holy moly that's a lot of basses. I'd hate to have so many that it's actually creating engineering problems hahah
I'll have to look to see what my cowboy boots are. They were a smidge tighter than ideal but I had to get them in a hurry for a wedding (no shotgun involved). I've got the boots I bought for traipsing around in Alaskan winters, which are a bit large even with two pair of socks. Then there are my Renn Faire outfit faux medeival boots. Somewhere, I have the boots I bought for riding my motorcycle; 40 years old and right floppy. Haven't worn them much the past 20 years but they were on their third set of heels and second set of soles when I retired from biking (darn it).Heck, boots are like Tbirds, they come in all flavors. Our Queen has an awesome pic holding a bird while wearing black knee high lace up Dock Johnson style boots. Boots are boots, could be hiking boots or Wellingtons, it’s all good, the more the merrier and bonus points if worn with a bird.
90% of the time, if I have footwear on, it's Vans. 9% of the time, running/walking shoes. The other 1% is boots. No high heels so far. That's a bit much even for a person with no taste like me. Last time I was in El Paso, I stopped at a Tecovas outlet. They had a pair of really comfortable goatskin boots that were factory seconds. There was a pull at the top of one of the boots that had come undone. I came close to buying them, since they felt great. Only problem is that there was no way to get them home in my luggage. So it goes. My wife would not have been as enthusiastic. I know my limits. Also, I couldn't think of when I would actually wear them much. I wear sneakers off the motorcycle and riding boots on the motorcycle. That's pretty much all the shoes I have. I don't even wear workboots much any more.
I have wading boots, hiking boots, and ski boots. I also have a pair of work boots for heavy grunt work outside. Never have had, and never will have cowboy boots. But that’s just me.Thing is that I wouldn't wear them. So that would have been a waste. I even wear sneakers to church. Granted, my sneakers are all black with black soles and black logos, so they look like plain black shoes. But there you have it.
Bass? String changes? I don't know what you are talking about.Holy moly that's a lot of basses. I'd hate to have so many that it's actually creating engineering problems hahah
...imagine having to do string changes on all of them
Black checkered vans for me - mainly because Vans discontinued their leather slip-ons.Thing is that I wouldn't wear them. So that would have been a waste. I even wear sneakers to church. Granted, my sneakers are all black with black soles and black logos, so they look like plain black shoes. But there you have it.
If you can afford them, you can afford to pay a string-changer. Then again, if you play them all, the strings will last and last and last.Holy moly that's a lot of basses. I'd hate to have so many that it's actually creating engineering problems hahah
...imagine having to do string changes on all of them
You know, that thing that happens once every three to ninety years where the bass looks naked and your 3-point bridge slides off onto the floor?Bass? String changes? I don't know what you are talking about.
Roger that, Batman!Bass? String changes? I don't know what you are talking about.
Bass PR0N!You know, that thing that happens once every three to ninety years where the bass looks naked and your 3-point bridge slides off onto the floor?
My workboots are an aging pair of Red Wings. I used to wear out a pair of those every six months to a year when I was out in the field all the time. The uppers would wear out, not just the soles. I still have them, but they don't get worn much. I suppose if you count all the shoes I have, it would include a pair of wrestling shoes I wear at the gym and a pair of rubber sandals, not flip-flops, I take to tropical places and wear around here in the summer. I suppose if there was a pair of Tecovas hanging around, I would probably wear them sometimes. I just can't think when that would be. They sure were comfortable once I got them on. With hindsight, I should have bought them if I was ever going to buy a pair of boots, since they were about 40% the price of non-seconds. I have no interest in paying the price of an Epiphone Thunderbird for a pair of shoes.I have wading boots, hiking boots, and ski boots. I also have a pair of work boots for heavy grunt work outside. Never have had, and never will have cowboy boots. But that’s just me.
Ah, right. I forgot about that. My bridges have been swapped out, so I don't have a need to lose bridge parts anymore. So, no string changes anymore. You know, that thing that happens once every three to ninety years where the bass looks naked and your 3-point bridge slides off onto the floor?
I could make some greasy joke about fretboard conditioner but I think I'll take the high road.Roger that, Batman!
Gibson made that 8 string?I used to only wear boots onstage, not always comfortable and usually got very sweaty, I'm wearing heels most of the time anymore.

Like Thunderbirds, they are not for everybody. They are only for special people.LOL - I draw the line at bib overalls. All in on boots, birds and BBQ though!

Close enough for us. I have a pair of their suede boots. Really like them. Get lots of complements as well. You should have bought the goat skins, I have a pair and they are about the softest most comfortable leather you’ll find…
