Quite popular new, very popular now.

Previous year (VF) had the slant six, this year (VG) introduced the Hemi 6 this one a 245ci. The next (all new) VH model introduced the famed (Aussie) Charger and the 265ci Hemi.

I’d say it’s the exact same body as the 68-71 Dart/Swinger? Except with the bizarre Aussie grille the all those cars of that era seem to have that made them different that the US models I would otherwise know what they were down to the year.

Since US cars from the 50’s through the ‘70’s seemed to change something each and every year on the grille and/or tail lights/rear section, I could almost always tell you the exact year of many American cars, especially “muscle” cars, from ‘54 through the late ‘70’s.

Throw a Euro or Aussie grille on it and I’m lost.

The nose in front of the wheels was also stretched a little on VF & VG. The first of this trio VE had the US size nose and similar grille to US but no Hardtop model and I think the V8 was a 273.
Fletch from ClassicResto’s YT channel has an Aussie Hardtop that he converted into a replica ? Tribute? to a hot Dodge of that era with the same body. One of the videos showed him carving an 1” or more off the front wings.

Typically, roll bar and tranny strap is needed for sub 11 second 1/4 mile. Road course, that's a different story.

Road course. I'm pretty sure it won't do a sub 11 second quarter. At least not with me driving. I'm better at turning corners than going in a straight line. Which is probably a surprise to everyone here.
