Get together. Noun. Where members of the Talk Bass Thunderbird Club attend a pre-arranged meeting with the stated purpose of playing multiple Thunderbird and other bass guitars through a variety of amplification devices while imbibing the chosen cocktails for the event. Nice meals are also part of the event. Everyone is welcome to attend.
In the late 60s/early 70s, Dad was still using an old Royal manual at work. He refused to let the college buy him a new one. But when his secretary asked for a Selectric to replace her IBM Model C, he made sure she got it ASAP.Poor man. You don't also use a Royal typewriter by any chance do you? Obviously you brought some modern equipment to tryout to get in the band.
But at least you have grand kids that love you. So that's valuable. (We know what your daughter thinks of you.)
Dad is where I got some of my ethics, like use it until there's a good reason to replace it, and make sure your people have the tools they need for their jobs. Alas, I do not have the fundage to buy you all one more Thunderbird. If I could, I would! Pretty sure I'm not alone in that.

The Thunderbuckers are a bit more articulate, but when I'm playing the PSB, I don't notice. It's only if I switch from that to the 2019 with TB.

I always wondered why Jackie Fox disappeared fro the music scene. I loathe management that doesn't take care of their people, especially in high stress industries like music.
