Sure we could do some axe throwing at the next GTG, but it might look more like this…

I always wondered why Jackie Fox disappeared fro the music scene. I loathe management that doesn't take care of their people, especially in high stress industries like music.

NP: (WARNING: poor visual quality Thunderbird content)

She was the intelligent one. Even more intelligent now that she is no longer practicing.

Interesting find on eBay, well done, a bit pricy for a Goth but still a unique looking bird that would be even better with black knobs, EBCFs, and a cap job…
There you are @Miles_ONeal. It’ll pass for a blue one.

I've been under the weather this week with the nasty 10 day head cold making the rounds (somewhat over it), so was re-reviewing my various bass books. Has there ever been a dedicated Thunderbird book? If not, why not? Like a year-by-year review (numbers, serial numbers, colors, changes, etc). For instance, apparently 2014 or 2016, 2017 don't exist. I've found no reference to them.

I believe the closest is @Basvarken ’s Gibson Bass Book. He covers most all of the Gibson releases. It’s a great book.

Thx V, yeah two IEEE mini symposiums and a GM visit....flying back in a couple...why were you there? Originally from MI?

It was a summertime family road trip, we took our new Plymouth Satellite ( light yellow w/black vinyl interior, no a/c) from Seattle to Detroit to visit my Mom's sister. Being a kid, I had never seen industry the likes of Detroit in the early '70s as we took a trip around town, there were chunks of air pollution on the hood the car! From Detroit we drove to visit my stepfathers parents outside of Ozark, Arkansas, then back to Seattle. My older brother and I fought incessantly the entire trip while sweating on the black vinyl car upholstery - Ahhhh.... Childhood memories!
Needless to say, it was quite a change from the 3 month trip we took to Germany the year before.

I have it, it doesn't cover every year, e.g., 2014, 2016 2017.
Maybe a retirement project for me to think about doing. Could go to Germany and meet the collector Uli Salem, Canada and meet Geddy, talk to my idol Martin Turner and other notable players, including the amazing Nikki! EDIT: It would also be a good excuse to hang with Mike Watt!
