Them TI Jazz flats are great. I bought a separate B from strings direct.co.uk . I got had a 4 string set that i put on my 5 and the B string cost as much as the 4 string set Man that string is so thick but gets really nice and clunky when tuned down a bit! It only just fit into the tuning peg also

How much does the silk invade the nut?
Can you use a razor and shave that area off?

ONLY if there is still sufficient outer wrap Past the nut under the wrap.

I bit the bullet and bought another 5 string set but this time in 36” scale. I’ll just repurpose the 34” set to one of my other 4 or 5 string birds. Costly mistake up front, but I suspect the two sets of flats will last an incredibly long time.

My guy doesn’t random call. He respects that boundary. But his post delivery call is always almost exactly 24 hours after delivery. Doesn’t matter what it was. A $3,000 rig or a $20 pack of strings. Nice guy, makes sure all is ok, and doesn’t try to sell me anything else. Always a pleasant conversation. Going on for about fifteen years now. When I bought the ‘21 NR, he went out to the warehouse the day the first PB ones arrived and pulled out the lightest one they received. 8 1/12 pounds. He’s kind and reliable.

No, not random, just calls me instead of emailing a reply. My guy is a bass player, so we've always connected well. I hope maybe a new system is not a efficient as the seller claimed.

Bass of the day. This is a keeper. Love how it plays and sounds. Oddly enough, our former sound guy (and a drummer) out of the blue commented on the "cheap" Embassy I played last week. Really loved how it sounded. Better than a good many of my basses. And he loves the '64 Thunderbird the best. Says he can tell when I'm using that one if he's someplace else in the building.

Fun bassline the second half of the song. She’s best known for her incredible voice. One on my favorites; I pretty much have all her solo work on CD. But she holds her own as a bassist too.

I have one and like it a lot. I use it at home on the bench and plugged into the effect return on my various amps I set up to play through, just because I can. When I head up to the cabin I take it for use as a headphone amp. In the headphones, the CabSim will function. It only operates on the headphone and line out, but not the pre-amp out. The B15/SVT switch functions for all outputs.

I’d go to Ampeg.com and read up on it.
