I don't always stop for stop signs - but I have to be able to clearly see there's no one approaching the intersection nearby. I also stop if there I can see kids around; they aren't (as a rule) able to make the call safely so I don't want to set a bad example. Lights are another matter. I mainly run those IFF I have stopped and it's clear they can't tell I'm there and no cars are waiting with me, or I'm on the sidewalk and pressed the button and sat through an entire cycle with no chance to go. Colorado and at least one other state have a law that a bicycle can treat a stop sign as a yield sign and a light as a stop sign, yielding as appropriate. A lot of accidents involving bikes actually happen as they are stopped, so the hope is that this will help (it also keeps bikes moving, which helps the bikers but also keeps traffic moving better.) That's more or less what I do. An awful lot f drivers in the area treat stops as yields, and some treat lights as stops.

Spector Ultra Violet. A great choice.
The only thing I have that’s close to it is my Purple Sparkle, which is actually more of a Lavender Sparkle.

My BlingBird was finished in Standard Tiger Eye Burst but the Red Tiger Eye Burst sure looks awesome. The only thing I have near that color is my Burgundy Metallic NR. A good safe option.

Dang, I forgot all about that PRS Whale Blue and their Caribbean Blue and their Faded Denim Blue, love all those colors. I only have one blue bird right now, my BaCH NR in baby or sonic Blue.

You have some in the warmer colors, so I really like the bottom left as being different from what I recall you have. But the Red, Blue (if brighter or more G&L like), and both Purples stand out. I love a good Green trans finish, just not that one as it seems subdued or less vibrant. But can't go wrong with any of those.

That G&L Cobalt Blue looks beautiful on a figured maple top. Had one years ago (2500 Tribute). Loved the color and the depth in that finish.

Is there such a thing as Trans Phelam Blue? That would be an interesting look with a nod to an original Gibby color. The body was sourced from an EBay seller (Gluff guitars and basses). He does beautiful work and the semi hollow body in his designs really brings the weight of the bird down. It’s the same eBay seller that I bought the BlingBird Tbird body blank from a couple years ago. Not cheap, but the quality and woods are fantastic.

LOL - Miles, I put that one in there specifically for you. It’s called Dragon Burst. A way out there love it or hate it color. Personally I love it, reminds me of a tie dyed Grateful Dead shirt. Which brings up an interesting thought - why not a Grateful Dead Tribute bass! Very cool idea and it opens up lots of unique design options. I’m a big Gerry Garcia fan. The only down side is the love it or hate it aspect.

Maybe the purple of the purple burst, except all purple. Keep it really thin so that the flame doesn't get muted.

I've thought about a tie-dye style bass. That dragonburst would work, too. A few extra knobs to bring in the Phil Lesh vibe.

They just converted all the roads in our area to favor bicycles over everything else. Bicycles get an entire lane for themselves on what were previously two and three lane roads. There are bottlenecks at every intersection now during commuter hours. Ridiculous, given how few cyclists there actually are in a town of 450,000. Please. Get off my lawn.
