Triple triode meant for RGB in color sets...for some reason, 7ender used them in some later amps..
Ah, yes, the triple triode version of a 12AX7.
Leo was always looking for ways to save money without cutting corners. Since these were once common in TVs, they'd have been readily available. As tube TVs faded, they were even more available and hence less expensive. So that's my guess as to why. Leo had to hate wasting a triode or spending the space to put in a single triode. The only thing wasted here was a single pin.

You know, our two current Dodger catchers went to UofL, Will Smith and the recently called up Dalton Rushing. Smith is having a fabulous season so far.
A kid across the street loved sports, esp. baseball. He wwent to a small college on a full ride. He played in the minor leagues a bit, and is now the Director of Player Development and Analytics for the UTSA baseball team (Roadrunners). Not in a powerhouse team yet, but he just might end up in one. Bright kid, good athlete. (I forget what he majored in.) The Roadrunners beat the UTA (Austin) Longhorns the other day, for the second time this season.
His sister got a similar college deal but with volleyball. Excited to see where she goes after college. She and her team have done well.

one other thing he was probably not anticipating was the price of these going through the roof when CRT color tv went away and they stopped making them......

oh I believe it.....COME ON DOWN!

I will look at my schedule again, but right now there's just enough going on with the band that my time to get away is limited, aside from that work is really keeping me busy - I'm completely re doing part of my showroom so our Hospitality Division can make a presentation to one of our clients, a large international retailer of coffee.

the diagram would make me want to use the Thru back into the Aux (mono) if I was using effects, I like effects summed (controllably) to the dry signal at the output of the pre, not in the main signal chain there all the time, but it really boils down to each one's preferences, not like it'll break anything....

@Chucky Stiletti when using this with my B-15 I am turning off cabs/preamp/SGT. I am trying to see if that really acts like a true bypass for the input signal. If I follow the schematics to Line Out/Phones I see two amplifiers at 0 dB. I'm reading that as the full signal goes through. There are two single pole/double throw relays and one single pole/single throw relay. Then a summing amplifier before the line out. Am I getting a clean signal out? Gracias Mr. Wizard.

UPDATE: I guess using the preamp out would be better as it cuts out the single pole/single throw relay and the summing amp.
