It’s a revisited MX5 Miata styled to look sorta like a C2 Corvette
amazing there is a market for a fast looking car like that with an anemic 1.5 or even 2 liter motor....I know the price of fuel drives a lot of this but...,hopefully this wasn't the case here...

I wouldn’t mind this for going down the shops or Bunnings.
Vast majority of would be bench seat, column shift - either auto or 3 speed manual. They only made all synchromesh standard a year or so before this one, optional for a year or so before that.
Nice nondescript colour too.

This is a 70-71 HG, the place filler model when the all new HQ was delayed from original timetable. Barely any change from the previous HT.

I'M with you. I'd take it a NY minute. But would certainly prefer manual. But as long as it had an 8-Track I'm good.

When I got my license in ‘74, the first thing I did was go to Pacific Stereo (now long gone) and get a Pioneer cassette player and speakers. It sounded great in that little Volvo. At one time I had about 250 cassettes copied from of my vinyl that I recorded through a Kenwood cassette deck.

We cruised Ocean Avenue in Lompoc (it was a thing back in the day) on Friday Nights blasting Bowie, Sabbath, Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper, you get the idea. The cops hated us. Good Times!
