The last being the most important, since I sent it to you, it's been in the shop once, ( crackled while I was playing live, after which it hummed) and needs to go again for the same issue - much as I love it, it's not in a reliable state. Frank thinks the solder joints are all done with silver solder, which I guess is brittle.... Regardless, we're playing in front a big crowd next month and I can't have an amp going down mid-show.

It really isn't worth it. I hit the wall, just couldn't do it anymore. Such a relief when I made the decision to finish up.
Mine has 2 compressors (low & high) and a tube preamp. However, there is no octaver and reliability is an unknown. I had several pots and switches replaced and hoping that is all for a while. As much as people claim Trace is bulletproof, owning one old amp from a company that is no longer in business would be risky for a gigging musician. That's why I have several "backups", even tho I am not gigging right now.
Hmmm....cracking and weirdness coming out of the Line Out or the cab? I get this may be difficult to differentiate and remember mid show..

Got to meet Ray @/\/\3phist0 last night, caught his band playing at Eproson House. Great guy, had some time before and between sets to chat. Schugar Stixx has some fine players. They all did a great job adding some strong reggae flavor to a lot of old favorites and weaving from one song to another and back, like Hotel California sneakily changed to Maneater and back.
The gig was better than my pics….

Interesting, a Thunderbird II, with a single sidewinder and rosewood fretboard. Is it '70's? Or later 2000's? My guess is '70's because of the sidewinder. Do the bi-centennial's have rosewood or ebony fretboards?
