Gotta. Love Becca.

Hopefully surgeries will be done by the end of August. Then I can go north for yours, Rich’s, Dave’s, Geo’s and now Ray’s gigs. Does Rosa allow couch surfers? Ask Dave. Once I leave, it’s like I wasn’t even there. Unless the dog eats me.

Excellent!

Since we’re on NRs, this sleeper is still up on the verb. It’s one of 400 PB NR’s from the 2012/2013 “reissue” run. Fantastic Thunderbird. The finish on these is to die for. Slightly metallic. Corian nut. This one has EMGs. The original Tbird Plus pickups are included. It also has a Babicz, but the original Three point is also included. Someone here needs to buy it. These will only appreciate in value. Superbly crafted, IMO, better than the current NRs as far as fit and finish.

Sweet....any chance of a clip of the Dano through the PF?..

This is a quick recording of the Dano through the B-15 mic'd. There are 6 tracks: 1) Neck 10, Tone 0; 2) Neck 10, Tone 10; 3) Bridge 10, Tone 0; 4) Bridge 10, Tone 10; 5) Neck 10, Bridge 10, Both Tone 0; 6) Neck 10, Bridge 10, Both Tone 10. Strings are Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats 45-105.

There are some artifacts in the recording due to a breakup of the wireless systems and potentially the mic picking up string noise due to limited space in the room used for recording. Excuse the playing, I was just rushing to get something out.

Looking for info on Bicentennial pickups. No much out there but based on what was found it kinda seems like Gibson put together a pickup using what was in stock and didn't require any special parts. This is just a guess since i cant find any pictures of one dissected. My guess is its two bobbins from the 60's pickups with a A5 from their PAFs in the middle of the sidewinder. There is one special part and thats the bent sheet metal cradle the pickup sits in. After trying to get a idea of what's what then looking at available off the shelf parts , metal in my bar stock inventory/ Magnet collection this was what comes up. Its not exactly the same , the coils are wider and the magnet is longer. I was thinking about building one out if theres someone with bicentennial experience that would like to test something new.

I have a stash of A6 rod and bar for Dano builds in alternative formats outside of lipstick. Have done some P and J stuff along with Strat pickups

I’ve got a real bed in a real room: have to share it with 3x20 lb cats though!

My favorite Jazz bass pickups (so far) are the Kent Armstrong lipsticks, and part of the appeal IS the lipstick tube.

I get the lipstick look , the stash of A6 rods happened on accident , my magnet lady knows i buy odd stuff and sent a email asking if i wanted any A6 as they were whipping up a batch. So i took her up on 500 rods and some bars just to have around incase someone requested dano tone.
