Thunderbird Club

Another reason I stick in the situation I’m not necessarily very happy in, I’m about to be 59, and I want to be sure to get as many opportunities to play out as I can. The guys in the band I am in that I love (Red Sun Ruins), all have the same idea and would like to play out at least every month to 6 weeks, and if the other band would at least be into playing every couple months or so, then that could be a couple gigs a month for me, and that would be ideal.
Which is sad. Bad Lemon was good the show I saw.

Here’s my latest pickup, a 2012 Gibson Thunderbird IV in vintage cherry red.

I basically sold an old white Orville by Gibson Thunderbird. I liked the white one, but really fell in love with the look of this cherry one. Who woulda figured.

And this is a close sibling to my 1992 Gibson Les Paul LPB-1, also in vintage cherry red.

Huh. I can’t guess. But this comes to mind for me…

I really like his old stuff like that, I saw him twice, once right after Past, Present and Future and a couple years after that, he is a brilliant songwriter and his touring bands were simply excellent. The second time I saw him I recall him doing a great rendition of "Broadway Hotel".
