A single R100 can work in up to a medium sized room if the band's not nutso loud. Outdoors in some situations, even. I prefer 2x100, if only for the two 12s. And there's always the DI, in which case you're only using the Rumble as tone shaping and/or bass monitor.I have a 25 that goes with me to the Newport timeshare and other hotels. It mostly sits in the corner of the family room out of the way and unappreciated. It is what it is. It was less than an $100 when I bought it new about eight years ago. It has developed a “staticky” noise. I’ll hang onto it for now. But if it gets worse, next electrictronics recycling event, it’s gone.
I’ve played through a 500 a few times. It was decent, considering how cheap it is. It, and at least the 800 (and perhaps the 200?) were designed following the acquisition of Genz-Benz. I know the 210 and 410 cabs have a bit of that DNA, based upon what I’ve read. They are good affordable options. I can’t imagine trying to gig a single 100. YMMV.

Yep. All that. Frankly, his record company killed him after Year of The Cat. They insisted on a middle of the road, easy listening “yacht rock” album. Hence the disastrous, overproduced “Modern Times.” It sold and made a ton of dough. Long time hard core fans like me saw it as the beginning of the end.I think my favorites are "On the Border" and "Roads to Moscow". Al was one of those incredible cats who sometimes flew in under my radar back when I thought I only listened to harder music, psychedelic music, acid rock, etc.
Mine had an overdrive knob, but it got scratchy right after the warranty ran out and then just died. Wasn't going to fix it. Sold it to a guitar player who played a little bass and wanted an amp. A have a Ampeg 110 combo which I kept. It's upstairs in my office on top of my Fender 115 cab, but is not connected.I have a 25 that goes with me to the Newport timeshare and other hotels. That's the plan. Just recorded a new "album" with the newer project. Should be out soon.Play anyway?
I have Rumble 200 w/1x15 that lives in a practice space. It works really well (I bought it used) and have used it for a number of gigs and it worked great.I have a 25 that goes with me to the Newport timeshare and other hotels. Way interesting! Maybe a silly question, but can you do a set in the standard Epi IV cover? A set of those for an Epi Goth would be something I would buy.By request , Bi Sonic/ Dark Star under a Thunderbird Cover
The Blackbird Set?
Post! That's the plan. Just recorded a new "album" with the newer project. Should be out soon.
The low end ones are disposable. Frankly, it seems to me if you’re going FOH and are basically using an amp as a monitor, the 500 makes sense. Or even for small gigs. It’s 350 into the combo cab. You need a 210 extension to get to 500.Mine had an overdrive knob, but it got scratchy right after the warranty ran out and then just died. Wasn't going to fix it. I have heard it. I listened to it a half dozen times weekend before last. I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT. Our friend is not too old to rock and roll, despite what he said earlier.Post!
Covers are not readily available. I would have to buy multiple sets from China. If you can find a set for sale let me knowWay interesting! Maybe a silly question, but can you do a set in the standard Epi IV cover? A set of those for an Epi Goth would be something I would buy.
Ha! I thought maybe that was the place. Need to revisit soon.Yes! At Michoacano, the place where we all had dinner in Hol that night.....conversely, Rosa and Thomas are in Italy (Roller Derby World Cup in Innsbruck) enjoying this....

didn't you pick up the tab that evening?Ha! I thought maybe that was the place. Need to revisit soon.
I have the steel , just need to cut it and either drill/tap for screws or weld a blade to the middle part. The ripper/factory EB are a pita if your not set up for metalIt would be pretty wild to get Ripper pickups in Thunderbird covers.
