Thunderbird Club

Your basement rehearsal volume was appropriate for a 500 person venue, at least!

No, we're just keeping up with the drums which are not mic'd. I wish the room was a little softer as that would undoubtably help, were we to play out in open air we wouldn't really be all that loud, that said, I'm really looking forward to our next show as we'll be out on pier in Pt. Angeles, we typically get 600 people for a two hour show, it will be the Ashdown's first time out.

I knew why. It was just seriously loud. In the living room or kitchen, I still wanted ear plugs. We could hear fine outside over at the tables. That Ashdown should be in its element at the pier.

No FOH at Hotel Utah. That’s the only place I’ve seen Bad Lemon. Had to wear ear plugs while seated in the balcony.
You don't need 600 watts to make ears bleed.

The picture is of a Grexa reissue with 400 watts. The originals were rated at a whopping 200 watts. Rated anyway.

If you need to get rid of one or two, I'll make room here.

I'm pretty sure these are what Hotblack's band used.

Testing directly against a bicentennial. There will be multiple bass players A/B testing. Very lucky to have this level of help as these basses are not just laying around.

Im just taking a shot in the dark , if they sound very similar i will consider myself lucky , if not maybe they sound good , maybe not. Will see. Just thought i would try. Will share the options and thoughts / Grading of the pickups after the comparison
I'm looking forward to finding out what they sound like. My fretless has Lace Alumitones in it at the moment, and I'm not sure if that's what it should have in it or not. It's been a bit of a crash test dummy for checking out different ways of wiring up a Thunderbird and what pickups sound like a Thunderbird without fighting with the fretless part.

What? A fretless Tbird, or a FSO with bird pickups?

Sitka Spruce body?
