Well, I’ll be getting the full experience with it this weekend, getting accustomed to it tomorrow and Saturday morning/afternoon and putting it on stage Saturday night.

Not usually when playing live. Just because we have hi wattage amps doesn’t mean we push them. Mostly just trying to match the drummers volume, without overpowering the vocals.

The problem for me is typically the drum volume. Even if not right next to it, there is likely to be an amp or two in between, and they're compensating for being next to the drums.

Not sure who the lucky tester is but I hope they have a bicentennial Tbird to compare the sound with. Also, recall the very unique wiring schematic the bicentennial birds have since it will have a lot to do with converting the signal the pickups produce into a sound we all love.

I’m really pumped about your creativity and desire to offer new and exciting pickup options to Tbird fans. If you can get close to the bicentennial sidewinder look and sound I’ll definitely be buying a set or two.

Testing directly against a bicentennial. There will be multiple bass players A/B testing. Very lucky to have this level of help as these basses are not just laying around.

Im just taking a shot in the dark , if they sound very similar i will consider myself lucky , if not maybe they sound good , maybe not. Will see. Just thought i would try. Will share the options and thoughts / Grading of the pickups after the comparison

If you want to be more aggressive but not resort to wet sanding, I use this three step polish. Use some elbow grease or a small orbital polisher.

There is some scrap mahogany in my project woodpile that would probably work to make a shim like that. It is Honduras that I have had for more than 35 years, so it should also work well to transfer vibrations.

I had the EBO on the bench to make a bone nut a few weeks ago. I got out the original studs to see if I could make them work.
They are way too sloppy. It's not wear, just poor design. So the mahogany block and bolts went back on
