It’s like the loudness control on old stereos, great at low volumes to add deep low end.like with many settings in an SVT preamp, the ultra low does not lend itself to a band mix imho but sounds great standalone....

Yes, but only became such after the real meaning was put to use! But all the above but #2 can often be applied to me--and more!Ahem ( I knew that)
It’s also self deprecating humor in the common vernacular.

Yes, there's white.I can't seen the bicentennial anymore; it's unbearable !
If I ever have to refinish my Epi VP, it'll be the same.
There's nothing like natural after all, right ?!
Where I grew up(Miami), the only meaning was #2. Imagine my shock/surprise/dismay/whatever hearing it in its now more common usage.Yes, but only became such after the real meaning was put to use! But all the above but #2 can often be applied to me--and more!

Teflon tape solved thread slop.
Cut a slot into thin trim washers from import potentiometers, slipped them over the bottom shelf of the post, under the bridge:
Here’s the result:
Good solid fit, no rattle!!
Therefore will no longer lean. Reinstalling strings.
See? Wasn’t hard LOL

maybe we should all go in on it and have the 2026 GTG there....I would, but I just bought a new bass rig….
I was playing my Eagle in a DJB session the other day and playing with the controls. It has a "varitone" which really only has one position I like when I hear the bass by itself. But with the drummer playing, the tone with the switch in that position got buried.like with many settings in an SVT preamp, the ultra low does not lend itself to a band mix imho but sounds great standalone....
Opposite here, didn't know about #2 meaning.Where I grew up(Miami), the only meaning was #2. Imagine my shock/surprise/dismay/whatever hearing it in its now more common usage.![]()
Official Thunderbird Club House.maybe we should all go in on it and have the 2026 GTG there....

didn't think you liked white TBirds Donnie....nice burst.....is that the ohsc? looks like mine....feels kinda rickety..
I buy my strings (and whatever else I can) locally. I really don’t want the brick & mortars to go.My one and only foray into string buying from Amazon was a set of DA tapes. The E string was missing. I returned them for a refund and bought them somewhere else.
I’m with you on hating thieves.
Maybe if a bunch of us pooled our money…In case any of y'all out California way are looking for a new place to rest your Thunderbirds.
