Teflon tape solved thread slop.
Cut a slot into thin trim washers from import potentiometers, slipped them over the bottom shelf of the post, under the bridge:

Therefore will no longer lean. Reinstalling strings.

like with many settings in an SVT preamp,the ultra low does not lend itself to a band mix imho but sounds great standalone....
I was playing my Eagle in a DJB session the other day and playing with the controls. It has a "varitone" which really only has one position I like when I hear the bass by itself. But with the drummer playing, the tone with the switch in that position got buried.
A couple of the others however really worked well.
 
My one and only foray into string buying from Amazon was a set of DA tapes. The E string was missing. I returned them for a refund and bought them somewhere else.

I’m with you on hating thieves.
I buy my strings (and whatever else I can) locally. I really don’t want the brick & mortars to go.
