Memories that I’ll cherish forever!
V and Frank were cool cats, Chucky was most gracious and the perfect host (as was Dave at the music store), Jeff was a joy to watch play the bass and converse with, Andy was the perfect wing man for the trip up and back, Marshall was the master of the scooter, Miles has hair to die for (as opposed to mine which died off), Geo was the human definition of groove, Irv with his great impromptu licks, and Dave towering over everyone. The icing on the GTG cake was when the groupie showed up with her daughter the pit boss (hilarious, you had to be there to truly appreciate the gushing and scolding).
I was going through a lot with my wife’s cancer situation at the time and that GTG was exactly the brief release I needed.

It was an honor and joy to have you there. I still bless your wife for insisting you go. I wish we could have met her, too.

Oh well, it was kinda cool...

Pardon my no sequitur . This club goes like 60! My grandmother used to say that, from back in the day when 60 was like a blur.
Band changes, the Earthmen are looking for a guitar player who's not in 3 or 4 other bands... I'm also in the throes of starting a new punk/prog trio. And my eldest got a DDJ mixer for her birthday and is getting into producing work to do EDM shows. She's pretty psyched, it's good to see that. She's going to be good at it...
And there's a double-neck bass, fretless and fretted 4-strings w/Hipshot D- levers, heading into the paper stage.
Also doing the carpentry for a micro-distillery.
Just felt compelled to spill that somewhere, this is a way better place than Facebook.
Hope you all are holding it down and looking up, forward to what's good.

The Acadia's battery was where your feet would be if sitting behind the front passenger. Getting the floor panel was no problem, but getting the battery out of the container which was not much bigger than the battery was the challenge. But nothing like your situation. In fact, GM would have been better off leaving the battery there instead of cramming it in engine compartment and under other things.

1950s trucks had the battery in a compartment under the passenger side floorboard. In a truck like those, it is a great place for the battery.

You need to get a hobby or six to alleviate that inactivity and boredom.

That's actually in progress. It's getting bolted to a supplementary frame so the new motor doesn't bend the wimpy convertible tub into a pretzel. It wasn't going to have a roll bar, but there's not much way to attach shoulder belts without one. So, it gets one. It is becoming an AMX-like two seater. A roll bar means I can take it to track days, too, which isn't a bad thing.
